BRYSON have this day bargained and sold and by these presents bargain, sell and convey unto Daniel HOPPER for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar to me in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and for the consideration herein after specified all the rights with and in trust I have in and to the dower of Mrs. Salina HAGUE widow of the late Willis A. HAGUE deceased upon the land lying about three miles East of Troy on Troy & Dresden Road known as the old HAGUE trail of land. I also bargain sell and convey with the said Daniel HOPPER one two horse or ox waggon the wooden axled waggon I now own is the one truly intended to be sold , now these sale and conveyances are made for the following purposes and for no other, that is to say I am indebted to the said HOPPER in the sum of sixty-two & 50/100 dollars due on the 25th day of December last and am desirous of securing him the said HOPPER in the payment of the same by the first day of November next (1873) then the sale to be void. But if I should fail to pay the sum then the said HOPPER after giving ten days notice at the Court house door in the town of Troy by written hand bills is to proceed to sell the said dower in trust and waggon . . . to the highest bidder for cash and apply the proceeds just to the payment of the before described indebtedness. 2nd to pay the balance, if any there be, over to me.
