    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Blanford / Morris Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TgB.2ACE/2253.1 Message Board Post: I can tell you some thing about Morris/Blanford etc. My wife is Ruth Blanford. Her father was June Blanford. June was Lura's brother. Davis Blanford was June's and Lura's father. I am at the library and don't recall all the names of Davis' other children but I have a copy of Obion county 1880 census showing them. Davis joined the CFA in arkansas in Sept 1861 Ark 17th Infantry Regiment. Was wounded a year later at Iuka, MS battle and captured. Prisoner exchange on a river boat near Vicksburg freed him from the yankees. Lura and 1 or 2 other kids were born in MS. several others were born after he moved to Obion County I'll send a copy of their census listing if you give your address and request it. Also had some contact with a Carol Wray whose mother in law is a Morris(forget her name but have it at home--also Carol's e-address) We met her mother in law's sister some years ago in Obion county. She has since died. Also I have a copy of a census sheet on H C Morris showing his! children's names. (don't recall the census year off hand) I understand Davis Blanford and his wife, Sarah went to Arkansas and took all the younger children with them, but not Lura. Lura was about 18 and probably married and stayed in Obion. But both Davis And Sarah died very shortly after going to Arkansas. Junius, I think, went back to TN to help Lura raise all the siblings. Junius later married Gracie Caldwell 10/30/1913 in Miss. County, AR. Let me hear from you. I am Pat Dugan
