    1. [TNOBION] Frederick Taylor and Wife
    2. The Taylors
    3. Frederick TAYLOR b, abt. 1795, died in Obion County in 1843. I have a questionable note, that he was buried in the Cane Creek Cemetery. I have the Obion County listing for Cane Creek, and no TAYLORs at all. He had a wife, who I have good reason to believe was named Mary from the census records. Frederick was a very successful farmer in the community. Two sons were Doctors and one a Dentist. I am sure his family would have had a stone for him and his wife. His son William, who was a Lt. Colonel in the CSA, is buried in the family cemetery on the TAYLOR farm. His son George is buried in the Stovall cemetery - that son, still has to be proved. I note several additions in the Cane Creek cemetery copy I have, so it obviously is not totally comprehensive - few are absolutely correct. When we were at the Cane Creek Cemetery this summer the south-west corner had not been completely cleared. It it possible that there are graves there that were not put in the survey? Does anyone have anything on William or Mary TAYLOR? I have no dates for Mary's death, but a birthdate of 1798 from the census. Bill TAYLOR
