Bowers, 94, of 507 Third Street in Fulton died 10:46 a.m. Oct. 5, 2000, at Haws Memorial Nursing Home in Fulton. Services were set for 2 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, with the Rev. James Lawson officiating. Burial was to follow in Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton. The family requests that memorials be made to Cumberland Presbyterian Church, 1159 Parker Road, South Fulton, TN 38257. Mrs. Bowers was born Aug. 19, 1906, in Greenfield, daughter of the late Joseph and Lura (Jackson) Anderson. She was the widow of John Bowers, who died Dec. 29, 1991, and was a former clerk at The Leader Store in Fulton. She had lived in Fulton most of her life and was a member of Fulton Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Survivors include two nieces, Joyce Allbritten of Paducah, Ky., and Jean Hunt of Sebring, Fla.
