I'm researching James McCoy born 10 March 1815 in Obion County -- it wasn't Obion County until 1823 (I think) so I've never been sure WHERE I should be searching. Can anyone give me a hint?? Thanks. James had a brother John born 1816, John married Catherine Billman. A sister Phoebe was born 1818 and she married Isaac Shay; another sister Mary Ann born 24 July 1819 married Hiram Milburn; sister Ruthy Ann born 1821 married Eli T. Messinger; a brother Wilson Griffin born 1826; brother Jonathan born 1828 who married Mary Ann Griffin. All were born in Tennessee but moved to Tazewell County, Illinois before 1840. Does anyone recognize any of these folks? I would surely like to know who James' parents were.
