TN Census, Troy Station, Dist 7 NEWHOUSE, Jno. 32 Farmer TN Mary F. 28 TN Louisa P. 7 TN Mary Jane 2 TN Leesa? Ann 3 mo. TN John NEWHOUSE was the brother of my g grandmother, Matilda NEWHOUSE. I believe he may have served in the Civil War. There is a J.M. NEWHOUSE on the roster of the 33rd TN Infantry, Co. E and also Benjamin NEWHOUSE, John's brother, is on the same roster. John's wife, Mary F., was a SIMMONS and was the daughter of John SIMMONS, my g grandfather, and his first wife, Mary (Polly) CROCKETT. (After his first wife's death, John SIMMONS married Matilda NEWHOUSE. John T. NEWHOUSE, father of Matilda and John NEWHOUSE, was born c1800 in VA, was in Hardeman Co. TN by 1830 and Graves Co., KY by 1850. Some time between 1850 and 1860 he, his wife, Martha, and his family moved to Obion Co., TN. I'd appreciate any information about any of these people who are mentioned, but especially John and Mary F. (SIMMONS) NEWHOUSE, their family and descendants. Thank you very much. Brenda
