Surnames: JONES Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/TgB.2ACE/2206.1.1.1 Message Board Post: Hi David, I appreciate the offer of information. I still don't know a lot about my Jones family, but from what I can gather they seem to have lived in Weakley Co., almost exclusively. This may prove to be incorrect when I find out more about them so if it's not too much trouble I wouldn't mind having a look at whatever you might have from 1800 to around 1900. I know that my A. J. Jones (my gg grandfather), son of one of the Williams in my line, died in 1895. I have his will, but only his brother, W. T. (He'd have been born prob. bet. 1810 - 1820.), his sister, Ada, and an Aunt Rebecca Jones are mentioned. He did have other siblings named Sarah H., b. 1812 (married W. S. Scott who owned thousands of acres around McConnell, TN. McConnell was part of Weakley at one time and then Obion - (or vice versa; I don't have my notes in front of me.) due to boundary changes.), and Stephen F., b. 1823. I can share what info I have with you by snail mail if you'd like to have it. At this poi! nt, I have no idea whether there might be a connection between the Weakley and Obion Joneses, but there's always a chance. Since Jones was such a common name, I've found it a difficult line to research. Thanks very much. Brenda
