Surnames: Jennings, Clark Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TgB.2ACE/2306 Message Board Post: Requesting any info on Mary Jennings born about 1806 in Ky or Va, lived in Indiana until the 1850's, then came to Obion Co Tennessee some time in the 1850's, was found in the 1860 census with her children, Robert, John, Charles. Came with another family consisting of one named Jerimiah Clark (I am also interested in anything pertaining to him. Mary Jennings returned to Indiana in the early 1860's and Jerimiah went to Illinois. I am trying to find out why they moved to Tennessee and what brought them back to Indiana. Some of this group was listed as being Mullotoes. At some times all of them were listed as Mullotoes. I seems odd to me that people of this race would leave a free state to go to a slave state, esp at that time in our history. I just feel there was some good reason for this. This family is part of my husband's ancestory and we are interested in finding any info possible. Thanks
