She lived on Edwards Street, same street my grandparents lived on. I bet you knew them, Clarence and Rachel Posey. Here's how the Posey side of the family goes: James and F.E. Rutledge Posey were parents of Haden, R.E. and George. R. E. married Lucinda Newton, daughter of Lucas and Mary Ann Jordan Newton. George Posey married Pearl Lorina Palmer. Pearl was a sister of Mary Palmer Jordan, John Jordan's wife. I figure Mary Ann Jordan was John Jordan's sister. George and Pearl Posey had three children, Ernest (Pete), Ocie (died as a teenager) and Clarence, my grandfather. Clarence and Rachel Posey had three daughters, Martha Frances (Posey) Robbins (my mother), Betty Louise (Posey) Wall, and Bobbye Sue (Posey) Cates. My mom and Bobbye live in Tennessee. Betty lives in Michigan. Right now Gram (Rachel Posey) is in the hospital in Martin, TN. She is 98 and has suffered a heart attack. I am thrilled to hear from you.
