NEWHOUSE was born in Virginia (county unknown) in 1800. By 1830, he and wife Martha, were living in Hardeman Co., TN. In 1850, they were in Graves Co., KY, Dist. 1, with their children, William, Matilda (my g grandmother; m. John SIMMONS), Benjamin, John, Elijah, James, Elizabeth, Ellen, and Nancy. Their son, Henry, was born in 1851. By 1860 they had moved to Obion Co., TN, Dist. 7. By 1870, wife, Martha, was not in the household, but daughter, Elizabeth (Eliza), who had been married to Elijah C. CAIN, was back in the household of John T. NEWHOUSE along with her son, John. I'm assuming that her husband had died. I'd appreciate any information about any of these people. Thanks very much. Brenda
