He was married to Grace Board. They had 2 children, Robert and Anna Bess. Robert died at a fairly early age, in his twenties I think, in a cave-in in a gravel quarry where he was working. Anna Bess married Lee Hoyte Hicks and lived across the street from her parents and next door to me until I moved away when I grew up. She died a few years ago. They had three children. One son lives in Obion Co., but the 2 daughters moved away many years ago. Their daughter, Donna has always been my best friend. We still keep in touch regularly and were talking about the Scotts at McConnell not long ago, but neither of us could remember too much about them. I didn't realize exactly how they were related to her family. I now live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I've been here for 22 years. Although, Starling Thornton Jones is probably not my Tecumseh, even if Tecumseh was just! a nickname, I wonder if they're not connected somehow.
