McRee of the county of Obion and State of Tennessee for the consideration of seven hundred and fifty dollar to me in hand paid the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged have this day bargained and sold unto Henry F. George of the County and State aforesaid his heirs forever a certain piece or parcel of land situate lying and being in the County of Obion and State aforesaid in Civil district No 8. of said county and bounded as follows to wit: beginning at a dogwood the north wet corner of W.C. Milers tract with dogwood and poplar pointers thence south 82 poles to black oak with poplar pointers then east 82 poles to poplar with Sasafras and gum pointers thence north 44 poles to a back oak with ash and elm pointers thence east 33 1/2 poles to an elm with post oak and maple pointers thence north 38 poles to an elm with oak elm pointers thence west 116 to the beginning containing by estimation fifty-acres be the same more or less the same being conveyed to me by a decree of the Circuit Court of said county at the Oct term 1857 in the case of Thomas Moore et als exparte petition. I further covenent and agree with the said Henry F. George that I am lawfully seized of said land and have a good right to convey it and that I will for myself my heirs executors and administrators will forever warrant and defend the title to the aforesaind land and premises to the said Henry F. George his heirs and assigns forever against the lawful claim or claims of any and all persons whatsoever in witness my hand and seal this January 24, 1859 D.W. McRee (Seal) Attest J. H. Meachan W.
