F. George both the county and state aforesaid a certain tract or parcel of land lying on west side of grassy creek and bounded as follow beginning at said Georges south east corner runing east with his line 33 1/2 poles to a stake Reeds (?) corner thence north 44 poles to an elm corner thence west 33 1/2 poles to an elm and oak thence 44 poles south to the beginning For the consideration of one hundred & thirty eight dollars & eighteen cents the payment of which is hereby acknowledged. To have and to hold the above discribed land to the sale ? benefit of the said George by his assigns forever ? I covenant with said George that I am lawfully seized of said land & have a right to convey it and further more bind myself ? ? ? to forever warrant and defend the title to the same to the said George his ?? against the lawfull claims of all persons Whatever we witness of which I have ? set my hand and affixed my seal the 2nd day of January 1873 in the presents of the annexed subscribing witneses John E McNeely John Dickson R.H. McNeely Martha Dickson State of Tennessee Obion County Personalyy appeared before me S. H. Vaught a Notary Public of Obion County John Dickson the within named bargainor with whom I personally acquainted and who acknowledged that he executed the written instrument for the purpose therein contained and Martha Dickson wife of the said John Dickson having appeared beofre me privately and apart from her said husband acknowledged the execution of the said deed to have been done of her freely voluntarily and understanding without compulsion or constraint from her said husband and for the purposes therein expressed given under my hand and seal of office this 2nd day of January 1873 S. H. Vaught Notary Public State of Tennessee Obion County I E.D. Farris clerk of the county court of said county and state aforesaid certify that S. H. Vaught Notary Public duly elected commissioned and sworn as such that the signature above purporting to be his is his genuine signature and that all of his official acts as such are with ? to full faith and cridit Given under my hand and seal of said court at office in said county this 5th day of January 1874 E.
