What the woman was saying on Genforum is that she requested a copy of the original SSI application or SS-5, and what she got was only the Numident report, and not a photocopy of the original application.. They told her in the letter that was all they were giving out now, from my understanding. She stated that she had used the letter generated by Ancestry.com to request this, and that asks for the SS-5 . The Social Security Online Website lists that they will give you a photocopy as we are used to getting (photcopy of original application). So I don't know, for sure if that is going to be the norm or not just receiving the Numident report as stated by Darrell Blevens, Freedom of Information Officer, and not a photcopy of the application. I have e-mailed them and posed that question. So, I will have to wait, and see when I get an answer.
