While we're on the subject of obtaining copies of SS-5s, can anyone tell me what an average time would be for the Social Security Admin. to process a request? I mailed a check to the SSA Oct. 24, 2000. They cashed it on Dec. 12. Should I be worried that my copy is lost in the mail somewhere, or do they usually take a while after cashing the check?
