Anyone, almost 100 year old, deserves some recognition. 5:45:29 PM Monday, January 8, 2001 Lillie Mai Stover Lillie Mai (McCollum) Stover, 99, of Hornbeak, died of congestive heart failure Jan. 4, 2001, at the home of her daughter, Sue Jackson, in Newbern. Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Hornbeak Church of Christ, with Lenard Hogan officiating. Burial will follow in Hornbeak City Cemetery. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home in Newbern. Pallbearers will be Lemmie Smith, James R. "Bubba" Smith, Gary Eastwood, Jack Orr, Billy Joe King and Bruce Miller. Honorary pallbearers will be Raymond McCullough and Carney Johnson. Mrs. Stover was born May 9, 1901, in Obion County, daughter of the late Fletcher McCollum and Hallie (Thompson) McCollum. A homemaker, she was the widow of Plesie B. Stover and was a member of Hornbeak Church of Christ. Other survivors include a son, Ray Stover of Tiptonville; two granddaughters, three stepgrandchildren, three great-grandsons, eight stepgreat-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by two sons, Lloyd Wayne Stover and Ralph T. Stover, a sister and eight brothers.
