Willie was married to a Wood in Lake County (I think) before she married Floyd. They had two daughters, Lucille and Paulette. Willie's Mother was Sarah Butler Christian b.1877 d.1977. Her father was JJ Christian. We believe Sarah's dad was a Baptist Minister. Floyd's dad was called AL and mom Louella. His brothers included John, T,Rudd and sisters Rose, and Ole. Surnames: Coble Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TgB.2ACE/2202 Message Board Post: For several months I've been researching my ancestors in Hickman, Perry and Lincoln counties--My great-great Grandfather was Adam Coble, b. 1797 N.C., who settled in Hickman County in the 1820's. I am descended from his son Samuel (b. 1813 d. 1892), his son James Adam (b. 1873, d. ca. 1955), and my father James Adam Jr (b.1914). An aunt sent me a deed to a cemetary plot at East View Cemetary in Union City in the name of J.A. Coble Jr. The deed is signed by J.A. Coble, Mayor, and is dated July 4, 1912. The plot deed is for Lot No. 9 in section F on the east side of the cemetary. The signature of the official who recorded the document is difficult to read, but it appears to be J. M. (or N) Mousley or Nousley. I can't find any other records of my family in Obion County, and no record that J.A. Coble was the mayor of Union City. My father, who is now 88, says that his father and mother, Bertha Suttle of Sumner County, lived for a time in Union City before his birth (approx 1905-1913) but the J.A. Coble who signed as mayor is unknown to anyone in the family, and my grandfather was not a junior--as I said, his father was Samuel Coble. As both my father and grandfather were named J.A. Coble I am quite curious about the family link. Any assistance would be appreciated.
