It looks like any direct descendants would be descendants of Nathaniel Younger Murphey, b. August 03, 1887, died May 06, 1945. Surnames: Stone, Moore, Forrester Classification: Birth Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TgB.2ACE/2248 Message Board Post: The 100th birthday of Ed Lee Stone was celebrated recently. Born in Union City on Oct. 20, 1902, to Edwin Moore and Ida Frances Forrester, he attended the former Pleasant Valley School as well as Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church in Union City, where he remains an active member. He married Ruth Swann Merchant on Dec. 12, 1943, who died in 1999. He has resided at Union City Residential Care Center since July 2000. Family and friends gathered recently at the center to help him celebrate. Sharing refreshments, stories, memories and old photos were a vast number of people, including his four children, Patricia Rodgers of Atlanta; Edwin Stone II of Palmetto, Fla.; Sara Bryant of Knoxville and Peggy Stone of Dallas, Texas. His special treat for the day was a ride in a mule-drawn wagon, with his family to his homeplace and out on the farm. The wagon ride was provided by the Al McCullough family. A special guest for the day was Charles Hendry "Charlie" Keyser, son of Catherine Rodgers Keyser and grandson of Patricia Stone Rodgers. Charlie is the honoree's first great-grandchild.

Surnames: Ellis, Forrest, Priest Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TgB.2ACE/1483.1 Message Board Post: Hi, I pray that whoever posted this query or someone related to the surnames is out there. I grew up in NE AR in Clay County. My great Grandfather is Wiley Ellis and he had a sister by the name of Nancy A. Ellis. Both were born in TN, but moved to AR with their Dad, Nathan G. Ellis after their mother passed away (Emily Priscilla Ellis). Nancy married Levi A. Forrest (I found them in the 1900 Clay County, AR census for Pollard Township) and had 2 children, Maude, born March 1897 and Arvel, born Dec. 1898. Levi Forrest's mother's name was Martha J. born June 1830 in ILL. We have lost track of this family. We do know that Maude married a Priest and I think it was Charlie Priest and we do know that they settled down in Obion County, TN and an Uncle to Nancy Ellis Forrest said that she was in Union City at least in the 1920's or 1930's. Can this Gaynell Grooms be the granddaughter to my great great Aunt Nancy A. Ellis Forrest? Please reply to this post or email me direct! . We are anixous to make a connection to this family.

I am a member of the Lake County Historical Society. About 2 years past, we published a book entitled "Night Riders of Reelfoot Lake". This book has sold well in this locality. The book is taken from articles which were in our local paper years ago. These articles from the paper were submitted by Alfred M. Franko,PHD, who did an extensive research of the Night Rider era. The local paper gave us permission to put these writings in book form. The book has about 90 pages with a few pictures. The price of the book is $20.00 + $1.50 S/H.
