Mine was one, but not the one connected to this group though there were several sons in each family with the same names. You might try in Obion Co. for Samuel McCollum. I think he lived near Kenton but am not certain. You should be able to locate using Obion Co. phonebook. I do not know any children's names.

Shelly, My files have a Wm. N. PARRISH born in 1840 in TN. I don't know where in TN he was born, but I do know that he was in nearby Dyer Co., TN in the 1880 census. My records show that he married Virginia HASSELL about 1859. If you think this is your William, you can contact me for more information on his siblings, parents, etc. AnDrew French treehuggingdad@earthlink.net ----- Original Message ----- From: "Shelley R. I saw your posting of Nichols in Obion Co., TN. I am hoping some of my information might ring a bell with you. I have looked for my grandfather for several years. My grandfather, Braxton Bragg Nichols, died when my dad was three. I don't have any names of Braxton's brother or sisters. Although my aunt says they used to visit a woman they called Aunt Maggie and in my grandmother's Bible she has information written down on Julie Julian, some relationship, but not sure if sister-in-law, sister or aunt. We are not sure if either are really related or not. I know Braxton was born in Lake County, TN. around Tiptonville, January 10, 1872. He sometimes when by B.B. or Bragg Nichols. In the U.S. census, we have only been able to find a B.S. Nichols that is listed as a broader in his 30's, in 1880 in Lake County, but there is not other listings for children or a wife. We know Braxton married Lillian M. Jordan May 6, 1896 in Lake Co., Tn . They had two children: Rose Etta and a boy, who died at 3 yrs. old. They divorced shortly after the son's death. Then Braxton married my grandmother, Agnes Alyfare Toland, Mach 29, 1909 in Blytheville, Ar. He ! died Dec. 8, 1930 in Burdette, Ar. Are any of these names or any information familiar to you. Any help would be wonderful and very much appreciated.
