I saw your Mammie's name. My Braxton named his daughter by his second marriage Mammie (her spelling, Mamye). Lake Co. was taken from Obion Co. in 1870 and I can not find any Nichols there. Braxton is my grandfather. He died when my dad was 3 yrs. old, so we have no idea who Braxton's parents, brothers or sisters were. Braxton Bragg Nichols Born: Dec. 10, 1872 Place: Lake County, possibly Tiptonville Married: Lillian Jordan Date: May 6, 1896 Place: Lake County, TN. Children: Rose Etta and a son, not sure of his name maybe Daniel, died at 3 yrs. old Divorced in Lake County, after the death of son 2nd wife: Agnes Alyfare Toland Married:March 29,1909 Place: Blytheville, AR. Lived in Burdette, AR. At the time of his death Died: Dec. 8, 1930 There is a possibility that Braxton had sisters, Maggie and Julie, but this is iffy. Any info would be appreciated.

From the transcription I've seen the birth date seems to be 1802; d. 1856. My gg grandmother was Margaret UNK JONES, b. 1820; d. c1856 in Obion or Weakley Co. TN. I know it's a long shot, but I'm wondering if the 2 and 0 in the birth date in the transcription of the cemetery records could have been reversed. I'll be making a trip to the area soon and wonder if anyone could give me directions to Walnut Grove Cemetery if I was coming from Martin, Weakley Co., TN. I'd like to see the actual tombstone. Wincey was married three time the first being William A. Petty, with one son, Robert. Second husband was Samuel H. Davis, which produced three children, George, Mary and Edmond. Then she married Daniel Short with and additional three children that I am aware of James, William and Henry. Wincey and Daniel are both buried in Antioch Baptist Cemetery in Hornbeck, TN. White & Mahon Funeral Home chapel in Troy is in charge of arrangements. She was born Nov. 20, 1934, in Obion County, daughter of the late Burgess Edward and Eula Bea (Sampson) Click. She married Billy Roy Dotson Jan. 10, 1953. He survives. She was a retired employee of Kohler Co., with 25 years of service, and was a member of Troy First Baptist Church. Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sandy and Teddy Bryant of Kenton and Beverly and Randy Walton and Tammy and Danny Gammons, all of Union City; four grandsons, Michael Bryant of Kenton and D.J. Gammons, Shawn Walton and Shane Walton, all of Union City; her sister, Patricia Hope Ronecker of Florissant, Mo.; and two brothers, Bobby Gene Click of Cuba, Mo., and Billy Mack Click of Old Monroe, Mo.
