Hello folks, If anyone out there knows of a Miss Jennie Amanda Johnson who was born in 1908 near Kenton, TN, please let me know. I'll assume that she probably married and I have no earthly idea about her married name. I've came across a photo of her when she was 9 months old - actually it was a post card written from her mother to my great grandmother back in 1909. I'd like to pass it on to Miss Johnson if she is still around today, and if not, to her family. Take care everyone & may God bless each of you. Eddy G. Clark

These are all I've received. If others were sent, I don't have them, and they need to be sent again. Thanks to all of you ... you make the Obion Site a real joy. This sounds like something that could be cleared up by checking the censuses--1880 and 1900. If you don't know how to do this, check at your local public or LDS library, or check Cyndi's list (www.cyndislist.com) under census. I am looking for info on my grandfather Walter DICKS/DICKERSON. I believe he was born in TN, possibly in Obion. He was born about 1909 and married Daisy Mae PAYNE in Tunica Co., MS in June of 1929. They had one child, Walter Harold DICKERSON and lived in Memphis, TN. After his marriage to my grandmother and sometime before my dad was born in 1931 he changed his name from DICKS to DICKERSON. My grandfather died about 1935 or 36. Jeanette
