Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://genconnect.rootsweb.com/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Obion/1542 Surname: Posey ------------------------- I have run across a couple more Posey's in my line, names only, no significant data. First is R.E. Posey (aka "Jake"), married a Lucinda (possible last name "Newton"). He was a brother to George Malone Posey. Also a Bonner Posey keeps coming up. Gram can only remember that he was a distant cousin. He had one daughter, Louise. Does this ring any bells?
Hi List, I need some one to research some land records for me for the period of 1820 to 1870 in Obion Co., TN. I will be happy to reimburse a reasonable amount for the work. Or, make a donation to the Gen- His Society if someone does this on a volunteer basis. If anyone knows how I might accomplishment this or whom I might contact, I would appreciate that information. Posted on: Obion Co. Tn Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Tn/Obion/1540 Surname: Dean, Deen, Grimes, Jones ------------------------- Can anyone out there help me determine what became of these "missing" siblings of my grandmother Maggie Belle Grimes Jones (1911-1972)? They were children of James Carroll Grimes (1867-1919) and wife Maggie Belle Deen Grimes (1873-1911). They were also the grandchildren of Samuel William Grimes (1844-1928) and wife Elizabeth J. Deen (1846-1919) and Leander J. Deen (1850-1921) and wife Martha Ann Roberson Deen (1851-1935). They were all born near Troy, in the Mt. Ararat area. They are still living with their parents in 1910, but in 1920, after the death of their parents, I can no longer locate them. Lula S. Grimes, b. circa 1891 James L. Grimes, b. circa 1898 Robert R. Grimes, b. circa 1905 I believe Robert may be the same Robert Grimes appearing in the photograph of Troy High School, 1919 or 1920 that is posted on this site. Any infomation is greatly appreciated! I needed to add to the info from Ola Pearl Morris Reed Obit. I couldn't add it as a response to the obit I posted for her on the Obit board. So, I decided to add it to the mail list. Ola Pearl Morris Reed's parents were Daniel Morris & Tennessee Wagster. Tennessee Wagster Morris's parents were William Wagster & Elizabeth Crittendon. William Wagster's parents were John W. Wagster & Jane Crittendon. Elizabeth Crittendon Wagster's parents were John Crittendon & Naomi Brooks. Jane & John Crittendon were brother & sister. They were the children of William C. Crittendon. They had a brother, Joel Crittendon, who is my husband's 3 x Great grandfather. The Crittendon's are one of my husband's family connections. I hope I haven't confused anyone. I have additional info, if anyone connects to these families, so please email me at [email protected] Gay Mathis
