He married Rebecca Brooks in 1698 in MA. He died 30 Jan 1761 in Swansea, MA.Rebecca Brooks was born 5 Oct 1679 in MA.She died 11 Apr 1744 in Swansea, MA.Melatiah was the son of John and Johanna Enstance Esten Martin.John was born in 1632 or 33 in Swansea,MA.He married Johanna Enstance Esten on 26 Apr 1671 in Swansea,MA.John died 21 Mar 1713 or 14 in Swansea,MA.Johanna was born 1 Jun 1645 in Hertfordshire,England,the daughter of Thomas and Ann Thomas Esten.SHe died 23 Mar 1732 or 33 in Swansea,MA.Now for Rebecca, she was the daughter of Timothy and Mary Russel Brooks.Timothy was born 1634 in Middlesex,MA.He married the second time, Mary Russel on 21 Dec 1659 in Woburn,MA.He died 1712 in Cohansy, Salem,NJ.Mary wsa born sometime between 1639-1645 in Charleston,Sulfork,MA.She died 15 Sept 1680 in Billeriea,MA.Timothy Brooks was the son of Henry Brooks.Henry was born @ 1591 in England.He married Grace Wheeler in 1621 in England.He died 12 Apr 1683 in Wuburn,MA.Grace was born in 1594 in England and died 12 May 1664 in Middlesex,MA.Mary Rusel was the daughter of John Russel and Elizabeth Baker, his third wife.John was born in 1616 in Dartmouth,Bristol,MA.He married Elizabeth Baker on 13 May 1645.He died 1 Jun 1676 in Woburn,Middlesex,MA.Elizabeth was born @1619 in Penton Grafton,Weyhill,Hampshire,England.She died 16 Dec 1644 in Woburn,Middlesex,England. Are you confused yet?LOL Remember all this information is on the assumption that Elizabeth is the daughter of Melatiah Martin.Her parentage has not been proven to me as of yet.If I can find the proof that she is indeed his daughter,then we have it made on her mom's side.There is a great Brooks webite and mailing list that comes with you proving a Brooks lineage.If they tell you something they will send you the proof of it.I haven't ask for any proof, due to the fact that I can't prove Elizabeth's parentage and neither can anyone else that I have talked to.The confusion is due to the fact that both Martin Martin and Melatiah Martin both had daughters named Elizabeth and both these Elizabeths married Webbs.I've even had researchers tell me that these two men are the same person and that his full name was Melatiah Martin Martin.They tell me but they can't prove it.
