I am wondering how come the Branstetter Cemetery is not listed? Seems like an awful lot of folk that are connected in some way or another. Also... As I read over the emails I am touched by all of you folks out there that are dilegently looking for your ancestors. I was thinking a day or so ago about how we are all a little of this and that, (German, Irish, Cherokee, Italian and on and on) Anyway.. As I have spent the past 8 years in San Jose California I have had the opportunity to meet several people that have recently migrated to America and are 1st and 2nd generations to the U.S. It is fascinating to think of how it must have been years ago when our families migrated compared to now. Just thoughts as I read emails each day. Keep up the good work. Teddie Smith Cazier Chester Lee Smith's daughterand Everett Smith and Gracie Branstetter's Grandaughter
Teddie, There are several reasons why the Branstetter Cemetery wouldn't be listed. First, if noone has donated any pics to the TnGenWeb project those pics wouldn't be listed. It wouldn't be listed on the www.geocities.com/morgancountycemeteries site if the pics haven't been donated or I havent been to the cemetery to take the pictures yet. Where is the cemetery in question? I'll be happy to add it to my current list of cemeteries and get it pictured as soon as I can get a moment to get to it. On your comment about others coming to America. I know first hand how they feel, my Daddy is German, born and raised in Bremen, he came to the United States about 50 years ago. Growing up, he'd tell stories of his childhood, and of course us kids would think, "Oh no, not again".... Most teenagers do. But now that I'm grown I enjoy listening to my Dad tell the stories of how things were when he grew up over there. Its really a learning experience.
