Gerry, Thanks for the support!!! Yeah I can relate to that!!! I have copies of my Dad and his 13 siblings birth certificates, all in German. I know very little German (barely enough to get by) I was able to make out the names and birthdates, but everything else is "greek" to me.... My Dad translated them for me so I know what they say, but instead of converting them to English, I just scanned as they were and left in German form. This part of my line has proven to be my most difficult since none of my grandparents information is here, right now I'm having to brush up on my German so I can make a few phone calls. I'm trying to convince my Dad to speak German as much as possible to my kids so they will pick up on it easier than I did, learning a second language isn't as easy when you get older... I do good to speak English! LOL.
