Could my FRELAND have moved back to Tennessee in those few days. Well actually it was almost a month. Or could this be when Nellie told me Mahala was in Ohio, and maybe Mahala just added his name to the census???? She was many miles away "confined" in an institution. Found her also listed in her place of "confinement" in 1920. (now know where my "mental condition" came from!)<VVBG>> Wonder why they listed their rellies that way when they weren't really in the household?? By 1920, gr-pa already had another "wife" and was purchasing a home with her. Have documents to prove that one! Often wonder if a man could divorce his wife under those conditons. She was declared "insane" after losing a 2 year old daughter and then giving birth 3 months later to a son. Sounds like post-partum to me, but back then, they didn't know what that was...
