Crossville Chronicle obit... Thomas M. Helton Dec. 21, 2003 Thomas Monroe Helton, 99, of Oakdale, passed away Dec. 21, 2003. Graveside services and interment were conducted Dec. 23 from the Daysville Cemetery with the Rev. Fred Copeland officiating. Mr. Helton was a member of the Old Mt. Pisgah Church and a retired iron worker with Tennessee Products Corp. in Rockwood. He was also a carpenter. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Jean Helton and Tom Powers of Oakdale and Leatha Ann Helton of Oakdale; son and daughter-in-law, Noel R. and Margaret Helton of Rockwood; grandchildren, Gail Powers Helton, Janice Powers Eddlemon, Stephen Powers, Bradley Powers, Cindy Powers Bunch, Hope Helton Hughes and Evon Helton Wage; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Helton; and son, Jerry Helton. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood was in charge of the arrangements.
