    3. Hello List, Does anyone have any new or documented information on the Parentage of Jonathan McPETERS born about 1800 married to Hopa HALL. Since there are two Jonathan McPETERS born about the same time and lived in the same area it is very hard to know one from the other. I was hoping some of the HALL decendents may have ran across some documentation on this. Jesse Columbus, Georgia

    3. Hi Jesse, I don't have any new documented information on Jonathan McPeters. I just wanted to say we are from the same family. Martin Hall and Choe Hendrix. Do you know where Jonathan was from? I don't have a marriage date, only that Hopa and Jonathan were married. 3. Jesse, I have some Morgan County marriage records which have been transcribed from the Wartburg Library. It shows Jonathan McPeters married to Hopa Hall about 1825 (N.C.). Second marriage was to Phebe Laymance about 1836. I don't know who compiled the lists, but the dates tell me that the info came from somewhere other than a marriage license. It's possible that they were derived from census records as I "think" some of the records were destroyed during the Civil War. Anyway, the second marriage might give you something to work on.
