>From the Knoxville News Sentinel 24 Nov 2003 SNEED, FRANCES J. ROLLINS - 87, passed away Friday November 21, 2003 at the Briarcliff Health Care Center. She was born October 17, 1916 to the late John Edward and Nelle Styles in Isabella, TN. Mrs. Sneed came to live in Oak Ridge in 1944. She was a clerk/bookkeeper for 22 years at Miller's Department Store. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Oak Ridge. Her hobbies were sewing and reading. During the 1950's was very active in the local PTA and the YWCA and could often be found chaperoning field trips and the Y-Teen youth dances. She was preceded in death by: her husband, Jack W. Sneed. She is survived by: two daughters, Gwen Bell, Oak Ridge, and Sara (Sadie) Dyer of Cocoa, FL; 5 grandchildren, Kina Deming, Kimberly DeGroat, Steven Bell, Jacquline Williams and Janice Dyer; 3 great grandchildren, Kinsey DeGroat, Devin Deming, Dane Deming. Funeral service will be Tuesday, November 25, 2003 at 7:00 p.m. with Pastor Bob Cantrell officiating at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be Wednesday, November 26 at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
