She is preceded in death by her husband, George T. Brooks; son, Herman Lewis Brooks; parents, Jim and Dora M. LeWallen; three sisters, Nella Faye Hatfield, Monnie LeWallen and Gertulla LeWallen. Clona is survived by her two sons, James Ernest and wife Bonnie Brooks, Beaverton, Mi., Harold and wife Dorothy Brooks, Auburn Hills, Mi.; 20 grandchildren; 34 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Thomas LeWallan, Waterford, Mi.; two sisters, Thelma Jean Colon and husband, Jose, Jellico, Dorothy M. Bryant and husband, Pleas, Saxton. The family received friends Wednesday, November 19 at Harp Funeral Home, Jellico. Funeral services were, Thursday, November 20 at Elk Fork Baptist Church with Rev. Harold Norman officiating. Burial was in Valleyview cemetery. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Glenn W. Franklin, 72, Pioneer, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003. He was a loving husband, great father and licensed minister for over 35 years in the Cleveland Assembly. He owned and operated Franklin Trucking Company, and was a Campbell County school bus owner and operator for over 29 years. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, former pastor of Habersham Church of God, ministered over the radio airways of WLAF Radio for over 15 years and WJJT Radio for over 12 years. He was a member of the Yaden Church of God in Williamsburg, Ky. He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen McCullah Franklin; parents, Garland and Beulah Franklin; brother, Garland Franklin Jr. Glenn is survived by his children, Rev. Michael Franklin and wife, Sharon, Jacksboro, Glenda Karen Martin and husband, Rev. Carl Martin, Caryville, Rev. Bobby Allen David Franklin and wife, Patricia Ann (Cricket) Franklin, Jacksboro, Rachel Franklin West and fiancé Wayne Ward, Jacksboro, Sharon Shepherd and husband, Darrell Hatfield, Michael Franklin, Amber Shepherd and Aaron West; sister, Beatrice McCoy, Knoxville; several relatives and friends. Shelby Kruse, 60, Jellico, died November 22, 2003 at the Jellico Community Hospital. She was born January 7, 1943 at Clairfield. Shelby was preceded in death by her parents, George W. and Cordie Davis Hatfield; sister, Kizzie Norris; brothers, Henry Lee Hatfield, R. L. Hatfield and Billy Ray Hatfield. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa and Dan Chambers, Williamsburg, Ky., Rebecca and Michael Fields, Cordia and Jimmy Dople and Wilma Kruse, all of Jellico; grandchildren, Nicholas, Natalie, Daniel and Devin; a very close friend who was like a daughter, Kim Hacker; sisters, Betty Lou Ausher, Jellico, Edith Horvath, Williamsburg, Ky., Gracie Jessie, Augusta, Ga.; brothers, Claude Hatfield, Raymond Hatfield, A.C. Nayles, 80, Newcomb, died Friday, November 21, 2003 at his home. He was a Navy Veteran of World War II. He is survived by his wife, Regina (Jean) Nayles; daughter and son-in-law, Vickie and Eddie Archer, Newcomb, sisters, Doris Forester and Elizabeth (Sweetie) Douglas; brother, Willard Nayles and wife, Betty, all of Dayton, OH.; cousin, Jean Smiddy, Knoxville. Funeral services were Sunday, November 23 at Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel with Reverends, Steven Morgan and Denny Davi officiating. Martha Nunn Overton, 83, LaFollette, died Sunday, November 16, 2003 at her home. She was of the Church of God Faith. She is preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Overton; two children, two grandsons, Colon Lee Decker and Arnold Lee Overton; parents, John and Lurie Nunn; brother, George Nunn; two sisters, Effie Mae Nunn and Mary Jane Lay. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Rigney and Lizzie (Trammell) Rigney. John is survived by his two daughters, Amy and Victoria; one grandson, Donathan; two brothers, George and Jim; four sisters, Ruby, Little Ruby, Rose and Lulu and a host of nieces nephews and other relatives and many friends. Harp Funeral Home of Jellico was in charge of the arrangements. Josephine Branam, 80, LaFollette died Friday, November 21, 2003 at the St. Mary's Health and Rehabilitation Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Woodson Gap Baptist Church. Mrs. Branam loved to cook, working in the garden and quilting. She also enjoyed camping out and fishing and hunting and loved her family very much. She was the first hospice patient at St. Mar's Campbell County and the first patient to be baptized. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Branam; parents, Simon and Nettie M. Bolton Brandenburg. Mrs. Branam is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Vennis and Sue Branam, Duff; daughter, Ava Pearline Walden; daughter and son-in-law, Martha Gay and Bob Ridenour, all of LaFollette; none grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Arlie Brandenburg, Mi., several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Maxwell loved sewing, knitting, cooking and loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents. Carol is survived by her husband, Rev. William Maxwell; sons, Jimmy Willis, Michael Willis, all of LaFollette, Greg Willis, Knoxville; daughter, Lisa Clear, LaFollette; step-children, Debbie Nelson and William Ray Maxwell, both of LaFollette; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Miller Jr. 48, LaFollette, died away Thursday, November 13, 2003 at his home. He was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobert Sr. and Mildred Goodman Miller; half-brother, Jim Lindsay; half-sister, Barbara Gail Miller. Marshall Lee Nelson, 66, Lake City, died Saturday, November 22 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Westside Baptist Church in Lake City. Marshall was born June 6, 1937. Marshall loved to collect guns and fish. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Sandra Lou Nelson; parents, Albert and Minnie Lindsey Nelson; sisters, Beatrice Harman, Margaret Hatmaker; brother, J.D. Nelson. Allen Alvin North Jr., 101, LaFollette, died Thursday, November 20, 2003 at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the First Church of Christ Scientist, Mass. Mr. North was a retired operating engineer with Dayton Power and Light for 20 years and Richmond Power and Light, (Indiana) for 15 years. As a young man, living in Darke County, he was an acquaintance of Annie Oakley. He is preceded in death by his wife, Bertha and son Armond Alvin North and son, Armond Alvin North. Allen is survived by his daughters, Carmen and Rusty Shultz, LaFollette, Noelle and Richard White, Bartlesville, Okla.; seven grandchildren and eight-great-grandchildren. Kathryn Overton, 77, died Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Methodist Medical Center, Oak Ridge. She was born December 1, 1925 at LaFollette and was a member of Faith Baptist Church and also attended North Buffalo Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Ella Mohan Brady; husband, James Overton; three brothers and nine sisters. Kathryn is survived by her three sons, Larry Overton, Clairfield, Lawrence Overton, Lima, Oh., Douglas Ray Overton, Fostoria, Oh.; one daughter, Irene Kidwell, Ewing, Va.; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Powers, Fostoria, Oh. Funeral services were Friday, November 21 at the Cox and Son Chapel with Rev. Jeffrey Bullock officiating. Interment was in the Lambdin Cemetery. Bob Voyles, 71, LaFollette, died Wednesday, November 19, 2003 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was a member of the Indian Mound Baptist Church. Bob was a loving father, grandfather and great-grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed hunting and fishing. Bob was an avid church goes and loved the Lord very much. He was preceded in death by his wife, Wanda J. Voyles; daughter, Susan Voyles; parents, Pascal and Flossie Branham Voyles; sister, Bertha Davies. Bob is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Gail Voyles, Jerry and Pat Voyles; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Danny Orick, all of LaFollette; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren; brother, Edgar Voyles, Morley; sisters, Addie Mae Turner and Elnora Templeton, both of Rome, Ga.; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
