Mullins, 86, of Oliver Springs, Loretta Bryson, 71, of Kingston, John Kopral \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ \\\\\\\\\\\\\ Huel Glen Roberts, 62, of Oak Ridge, formerly of Lake City, died Friday, April 16, 2004, following a battle with cancer, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mr. Roberts was a member of Pine Hill Baptist church. He was owner and operator of Styles By Glen in Oak Ridge for 31 years. According to his family, he was an avid fisherman and currently holds the World Record with the International Game and Fish Association. His family said he leaves a deep void with his fishing friends and his Monday golfing buddies of 30 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Huel Blake and Edith Colleen Roberts of Lake City. Mr. Roberts is survived by his children, Serita Roberts Stamps and husband, Tyler, of Cookeville, Yvette Roberts of Oak Ridge, Gary Rowell and wife, Jennifer, of Goodlettsville, and Donna Barker and husband, Mark, of Powell; four grandchildren, Avery Stamps, Tanner Stamps, Sara Rowell and Taylor Lyon; three sisters, Helen Roberts of Oak Ridge, Deborah Woodson of LaFollette and Lou Ann Tackett of Lake City; his brother, Benny Roberts, of Lake City; and by several nieces, nephews and cousins. His family said he leaves behind a host of lifetime and special friends and clients who will miss him tremendously. "Glen was our fun maker and loved by all," his family said. His family said they wish to thank Dr. John T. Foust and the staff on 4-West at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge for their extra special care and support. Born Aug. 13, 1915, in Rhine, Ga., she was the daughter of Dennis and Antoinette Elizabeth Brantley Allen. Mrs. Berry was a Baptist. Her family said she enjoyed fishing, shrimping, boating and snorkeling. She was a graduate of Miami Senior High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Edmund Berry, and by one brother and two sisters. Mrs. Berry is survived by her daughter, Gail "Toni" Stephenson and husband, Bob, of Clinton; three grandchildren, John Barclay Johnson Jr. and wife, Dawn, and Nathaniel Reed Johnson, all of Knoxville, and Christopher Dean Johnson and wife, Andrea, of Stuart, Fla.; and by two great-grandchildren, John Barclay Johnson III and Connor Allen Johnson. Roy Dean Adcox, 80, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, April 18, 2004, at Briarcliff Health Care Center. Born Aug. 30, 1923, in Coalfield, he was the son of Lloyd Adcox and Cecil Ruffner Adcox. Mr. Adcox graduated with honors from Coalfield High School in 1940. While at Coalfield High School, he was a member of the first state championship six-man football team. Following high school, Mr. Adcox entered the U.S. Army and served his country in World War II. He remained in the Army for 10 years and earned the rank of master sergeant. After his return home, he founded Jefferson Avenue Motors, which later became Adcox Motors in Oak Ridge and Oliver Springs. In addition, he was employed by Valley Pontiac of Oak Ridge for 30 years. Mr. Adcox attended Oak Ridge Baptist Church. According to his family, Mr. Adcox, or "Dean" as he was known, was very proud of the accomplishments of his family, friends and the people of the Coalfield community. His family said he was fond of his heritage and shared stories of his childhood with all who knew him. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Helen R. Adcox, and by a brother, James Adcox. Mr. Adcox is survived by his daughter, Linda Diaz, of Atlanta, Ga.; his son, Ralph Adcox, of Knoxville; five grandchildren, Damien Diaz, Gabriel Diaz, Jennifer Adcox, Stephanie Adcox and Jordan Adcox; one great-grandson; his sister, Sandra Young and husband, Ralph, of Harriman; and by three brothers, Herbert Adcox and wife, Jean, and Tommy Adcox and wife, Mary Katherine, all of Chattanooga, and Ray Adcox and wife, June, of Oak Ridge. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, 2004, at Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Dr. Bill Edmonds officiating. William Thom Spach, 46, of Baiting Hollow, N.Y., died Saturday, April 17, 2004, at his residence. Mr. Spach was the son of Jean Spach, of Oak Ridge, and William Spach, now deceased. In addition to his mother, Mr. Spach is survived by his wife, Pam Spach; his daughter, Sarah D. Spach; his twin sister, Evelyn Tolin and husband, Jeffrey; two brothers, James Spach and wife, Amy, and Christian Spach and wife, Mai; two stepchildren, Heather Debby and Michael Debby; and by three nephews, Billy, John and Kevin. Mrs. Mullins was retired from the Indiana Soldiers Home Hospital. She was a member of Union Valley Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. Her family said she was a devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother, and loved visiting with her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, John Freels and Sudie Messer Freels; her husband, Lonas Hayes Mullins; a daughter, Beatrice Francis; a grandson, Denny Johnson; six sisters, Nannie Gentry, Abbie Rickett, Louise Seiber, Linda Miles, Jo Ann Mires and Viola Letner; and by three brothers, Earl Freels, Jess Freels and Frank Freels. Mrs. Mullins is survived by a daughter, Allene Ragle and husband, Clyde, of Knoxville; a son-in-law, Bill Francis, of Cortez, Colo.; five grandchildren, Allen Ragle and wife, Katherine, and Angela Robbins and husband, Steve, all of Knoxville, Doug Johnson and wife, Shari, of Lebanon, Ind., Greg Francis of Cortez, and Denise Kriss and husband, Brian, of Ocala, Fla.; and by 10 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren. Loretta Bryson, 71, of Kingston, died Friday, April 16, 2004, at Baptist Hospital West in Knoxville. Born June 26, 1932, in Morgan County, she was the daughter of Earl Nichols and Pearl Liles Nichols. She was a lifelong resident of the area. Mrs. Bryson was a homemaker and her family said she was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was an active member of Big Mountain Baptist Church in Oliver Springs. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Kingston Chapter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Tommie Bryson. Mrs. Bryson is survived by three daughters, Debbie Price and husband, Jim, and Joyce Nelson and husband, Ronnie, all of Harriman, and Tommie Etta Velting and husband, Robert, of Eustis, Fla.; two sons, Johnny Bryson and wife, Donna, of Harriman, and Gary Bryson and companion, Linda Adams, of Chatsworth, Ga.; eight grandchildren, Nicki Paletta, Jonathan Bryson, Brad Price, Travis Price, Tommy Nelson, Scotty Bryson, Christy Bryson and Amanda Bryson; and by 12 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers, Joe Nichols of Smyrna, Ga., and Neal Nichols of Coalfield; two sisters, Jackie Newberry and Faye Braden, both of Coalfield; and by special neighbors and friends, Al and Sue Shepherd of Kingston.
