He loved fishing and riding bicycles. Preceded in death by his parents Carl Daniel Carroll, Sr. and Ruth Campbell Carroll. Survivors include his step-mother, Mary Carroll, LaFollette; sisters, Beverly Cunningham, Haverhill, Mass., Zella Carroll, Tazewell, Gail Hunter, Speedwell, Vickie Fisher, Rochester, Minn; brother, Carl Daniel Carroll Jr., Pineville, Ky; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. Preceded in death by her husband; George Edward Caudell; son, Raymond Caudell; parents, Abijah and Cynthia Ray; six brothers and sisters. Survivors include her son, Lloyd Caudell of Lexington; two grandsons, Adam Caudell of Lexington and Lloyd L. Caudell of Bozeman, Montana; two great-grandchildren, Benjamin Caudell and Meghan Caudell both of Lexington; special nephew, Bob Ray of Hickory Creek Road, LaFollette; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Miller Carroll, age 74, of Reading, Oh, formerly of Jellico died March 24 at the Jewish Hospital in Cincinnati, Oh. Preceded in death by her husband, Millard Maples; seven brothers and sisters. Survivors include her sister, Billie McFarland, Reading, Oh; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; a host of other relatives and friends. Samuel Carl Davis, Jr., age 86, of LaFollette died March 28 at the Veteran's Hospital in Mountain Home, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was of the Baptist faith. Preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Turner Davis; father and mother, Samuel Carl Davis, Sr. and Beatrice Ridenour Davis; nephew, Michael York, Morristown. Survivors include his daughters, Carla Burno, Houston, Tx, Michelle Nelson, Oliver Springs; twin brothers, Andrew Davis, Clinton and Edward Davis, Knoxville; sisters, Betty Lou Green, Oak Ridge, Marjorie York Allsup, White Pine; several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews. Graveside services are April 1 at 10 a.m. at Bakers Forge Cemetery with Rev. James Taylor officiating. Military Honors will be provided by East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard. She was a member of the Baptist faith and formerly employed as a cook with Cove Lake State Park Restaurant for many years. Preceded in death by her husband, Jack Elmore; sons, Bobby and Bill Elmore. Survivors include her sons, Pete Elmore, Elk Valley, Jack Elmore, Knoxville, Ronnie Elmore, Elk Valley; daughters, Barbara Banks, Newman, Ga, Kay Miles, Caryville; sister, Mary Douglas, Jellico. Dora Marie Hill, age 77 died March 25. She was a member of the Binghamtown Baptist Church. She enjoyed quilting and sewing. She loved spending time with children and grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband: Elmer Hill; grandson, William Randall; mother and father, Surelda and James Mynatt; brother, Thomas Mynatt; sister, Harriet Mynatt and many other close dear friends. He was born September 16, 1944 in Anderson County to the late Kelly and Maude Carroll Lisenbee. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved to fish, read and spend time with his family. Preceded in death by his parents; brother, Blake Lisenbee; sisters, Betty Lisenbee and Marie Burgess; nephew, Junior Burgess; niece, Patricia Ann Golden; special friend, -Bonnie Foust. She was a member of the East LaFollette Baptist Church and was also a member of the church choir. She enjoyed quilting, sewing and craft painting. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerome L. Proctor, Sr. in 1947; parents, Edgar and Nella Noe Davis; sisters Ethel Vann, LaVerne Atchley; brothers, Clifford Davis, William Davis, Charles (Joe) Davis and John L. Davis. Survivors include her sons, Jerome L. Proctor, Jr. and wife, Carolyn of Norwalk, Oh; four grandchildren ; four great-grandchildren; brothers Jess Davis of Orville, Ca, Bobby Davis of El Paso, Tx; sisters, Hazel White of Monroeville, Oh, Mary Haynes of Oak Ridge, and Kathleen Byrge of Crossville; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Mabel Elizabeth McComb Gleaves Roberts, age 96 of Jellico died March 25 at Beech Tree Manor. She was born Sept. 16, 1907 to Henry Barrett McComb and Mabel Stuart McComb. She graduated from Jellico High School and attended Hollins College in Virginia and graduate from the University of Tennessee where she was a member of Zeta Tau Alpha Sorority. She taught English and French at Jellico High School for over 30 years and was honored as the 1992 Alumni Award Recipient at Mabel Roberts Day. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Jellico. Preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Robert Harvey Gleaves and Harvey Roberts; sisters, Dorothy McComb Finley, Helen McComb Bealle, Jane McComb Cooper; brothers, Jeffries McComb and Billy McComb. Survivors include her step-daughter, Vivian Roberts Bell; step-granddaughters, Judith Bell Clark and Nancy Bell Rockey; nieces, Annie Finley Arrington, Bette Finley Purdy, Mary Stuart McComb Nelley and Susan Palmer Bayless; nephews, James Bealle and Dr. Robert Palmer; sister-in-law, Mary Love McComb; several great nieces and nephews. Survivors include her husband, Gene Turner of Jonesboro, Ga, formerly of LaFollette; son and daughter-in-law Rodney and Carol Anne Turner of Stockbridge, Ga; parents, Everette and Mildred Brantley of Maryville; sister, Mae Ruth Habel of Jonesboro, Ga; grandchildren Conner and Savannah Turner; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother who shared her home with her daughter and grandchildren. She was a friend to all who knew her. She enjoyed gardening, working with her flowers, helping others, and spending time with her family. Preceded in death by husband, William L. White, Sr.; step-daughter, Joann Tyner. Survivors include her son, William L. White, Jr. and wife, Dianne, Stinking Creek; daughter, Ricky White Phillips, Briceville; grandchildren, Travis Aslinger, Knoxville, Joni Aslinger, Briceville, Nathaniel White, Stinking Creek, William L. White, III, Jacksonville, Fl; step-daughter, Betty Sue Riggs and husband, Bill, Tullahoma; step-grandchildren, Mary Christina Mangrum, Murfreesboro, William E. Riggs, Jr, Murfreesboro, Teresa Henderson and husband, Jim, Springfield, Va, Billy Ray Lawson, Cincinnati, Oh and Cindy Pierce, Fl. No services were held. By donating her body to science, she continues to give in death as she did in life. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the American Lung Association. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jacksboro. She was also a member of the senior bowling league. Preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister and granddaughter, Laura Breeden, in 1990. Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Howard, Indiana; daughters, Dolores and husband, Charles Montgomery, Az, Charlene and husband, Benny Breeden, Indiana; son, Wayne and wife, Debbie Woodard, Mi; nine grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; sister, Athalie Wilson, Oh; many other loving family members.
