Preceded in death by parents, James and Rhonda (Sweat) Craig, and husband, Lawrence Jones. Survivors: sons, Jerry D. and wife, Marty Jones, Dayton, Ohio; grandchildren, Ronald Jones, Jerry Jones, Danny Jones, Keith Jones and Belinda Bumgardner; great granddaughter, Jessica; sisters, Cecil Meade and Bonnie Turner, both of LaFollette; brothers, Jess Craig, Mich., Dennis Craig, Fla. Funeral service 12 noon Saturday, February 14, at Cross Funeral Home, Rev. Ralph Cordell officiating. Interment Bakers Forge Cemetery. The family will receive friends 10-12 noon Saturday before the funeral service. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Dayton. SMITH, LORA MAYE - age 93, formerly of Oneida, Tenn., passed away at the National Health Center in Franklin, Tenn. on Thursday afternoon, February 23, 2004. Born on June 14, 1910 and was the daughter of the late Arthur Elliott and Mary Elizabeth West Elliott. She was a member of the First Baptist church of Oneida. She received her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Tennessee, a Bachelors of Science Degree from Tennessee Technology University in Cookeville, Tenn., a charter member of Beta Beta Chapter of Delta Kappa Gamma and was a retired school teacher having taught thirty-four years both as a teacher and librarian. She served as the first President of the Oneida Business and Professional Women's Club. Past Secretary and Treasure of the Scott County Farm Bureau. Served several years on the Oneida Planning Commission and was a member of the Scott County Retired Teachers Association. Preceded in death by her parents, Arthur Elliott and Mary Elizabeth West Elliott; husband, Luther Smith; sisters, Eva Raynes and Rebecca Smith; brothers, Marion West, Silas West, Ruben West and John Lee West. Survived by two children, Sara Smith Jones and husband, Lyman of Augusta, SC and Milton E. Smith and wife, Carolyn of Brentwood, Tenn.; grandchildren, Matt Jones and wife, Jennifer, Ben Jones and wife, Buffi all of N. Augusta, SC, Calvin Smith and wife, Becky of Cookeville, Tenn., Leann Smith of Mishawaka, Ind. And Greg Smith of Murfreesboro, Tenn. A host of other family and friends to mourn her passing. The family will receive friends for visitation on Saturday evening, February 14, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Oneida with Rev. Philip Kazee and Rev. Dale Smith officiating. Interment at the Black Creek Cross Roads Cemetery in Robbins.
