    2. >From the Knoxville News Sentinel 26 Feb 2004 PHILLIPS, LEONARD R. - age 67, SEXTON, LORENZO LEE - of Wartburg, TRAMMELL, LEWIS JR. - age 77, of Andersonville \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ PHILLIPS, LEONARD R. - age 67, of Knoxville passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at his residence. Born in Anderson County, TN in 1936. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. Veteran of U.S. Navy. Preceded in death by parents, L. Beckham and Hazel R. Phillips. Survivors; wife, Betty L. Phillips, son and daughter-in-law, David and Angelica Phillips of Elk Grove, CA; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and C. Kent Ridenour of Andersonville, TN; brother and sister-in-law, Donald J. and JoAnne Phillips of Roswell, GA; sister and brother-in-law, Gail and Paul Vandagriff, of Clinton, TN; brother-in-law, Dennis Jergenson and wife Ann of San Pablo, CA; sisters-in-law, Janice Royce and husband Richard of Petaluma, CA; Beverly Ramun and husband Michael of Pinole, CA; granddaughters, Brittany and Kelsey Ridenour, Tiffany Phillips; grandsons, Christopher Ridenour and Jonathan Phillips. Funeral service 8 pm Friday at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel with Rev. Bill Akers officiating. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to be made to Faith United Methodist Church, 1120 Dry Gap Pk, Knoxville, TN 37918 or Victory Baptist Church, P.O. Box 263, Andersonville, TN 37705. The family will receive friends 6-8 pm Friday before the service at the Lynnhurst-Greenwood Chapel of Berry Funeral Home, 2300 W. Adair Dr. www.lynnhurstchapel.com SEXTON, LORENZO LEE - of Wartburg, born December 29, 1919, departed this life to be with Jesus on Monday, February 23, 2004 at the Morgan County Lifecare Center. He was a 24 year Army WWII and Korean War Veteran. And was retired from Brushy Mountain State Penitentiary. He accepted Christ as his Savior in 1988. His hobbies included reading and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Latonia and Lorenza Sexton; sisters, Naoma Sexton, Rachel Sexton, and Joan Risch. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Carrie Sexton; children, son, Donnie Sexton and wife Linda of Maryville; daughter, Marcia Kelly and husband C.A. of the Joyner Community; grandchildren, Shane, Holly, Brandon, Darren, and Joe; nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary June Carmack of Ohio; brothers and sisters-in-law, Clara Anderson, Nesba and Ronnie Duncan, Winnie West, Wilburn Sexton and Debbie, all of Scott County, and Charlene Young of Kentucky; uncle, Malvin Sexton and wife Sadie of Scott County; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family will receive friends Thursday, February 26, 2004 from 6:30-8 pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. Funeral Services will begin at 8 pm with Bro. Don Daugherty officiating. A graveside service with full Military Honors will be held on Friday, 2 pm in Union Baptist Church Cemetery. TRAMMELL, LEWIS JR. - age 77, of Andersonville passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice. The family will receive friends 2:00- 3:00 pm, Saturday, February 28, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home Chapel with funeral services following in the Chapel.
