>From The Oak Ridger 5 Feb 2004 Grace Brightwell DeSimone, 90, died Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2004, at The Estates of Oak Ridge. Born May 27, 1913, in Richland, Ga., she was the daughter of Ada and R.H. Brightwell. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1948 and retired from Oak Ridge National Laboratory in 1976. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her 10 siblings, seven sisters and three brothers. She is survived by her daughter, Elaine Brabson and husband, Ben Brabson Jr., of Sevierville; two granddaughters, Catherine L. Brabson of Park City, Utah, and Rebecca Brightwell Brabson of New York, N.Y.; and by her grandson, Benjamin D. Brabson II of Knoxville. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 7, 2004, in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with the Rev. Robert Rizner officiating.
