PROUD WIFE OF TENNESSEE ARMY NATIONAL GUARD SGT. CURRENTLY IN KOSOVO!!!! Hi Julie, I know where this house is.It is clearly visable from the road going to White Oak.I don't know who owns it now.If I am not mistaken, it was in the Shannon or England family at one time.Like John said on his website it hasn't been occupied for as long as I can remember. Also, if I'm not mistaken, Georgia Wymer lived not far from this home when she was alive. If you are researching the Howards, this is a good website to get starting information.John is a fellow Howard researcher. We had a "haunted house" on our road at one time. The house burned down years ago, but there where some pretty wild tails before it did. They used to claim that cabbage heads would float out of the garden. The kids would be eating ice cream and all of the sudden the bowl would leave their hands and float away. That curtains would move by themselves and that you could hear footsteps and boards creaking at night.People used to come from all over when I was little to see this house. My brother and our cousin put up big signs at the start of our road that read,"come see the haunted house, cabbage heads and bowls floating in the air".The owners naturally didn't appreciate it, since they claimed it was true.I remember that the curtains were always moving, but it was more than likely just drafts from the old house.
