Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, MI. She worked at various job shops in Warren and Hazel Park as an assembler, welder and calibrator. She sold poppies for Veterans as both her husbands were Veterans. She was proud of her Indian heritage. Preceded in death by her son, Lance T. Garrow; sister, Margaret Naganashe. Survivors include her children and spouses, Sharon and Larry Garrow, Warren, Mi, Tina and Terry Hea, Warren, Mi, Marie and Greg Garrow-Huckaby, LaFollette, Tambi Travola, Ferndale, Donald and Debbie Naganashe, Petoskey, Gerald and Shirley Garrow, Pickford; brothers and sisters, Ann and Francis Stead, Petroskey, Diane and Thomas Naganashe, Harbor Springs, Joe and Ann Naganashe, Mt. Morris, Patrick and Valissa Naganashe, Goodheart; 17 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Cora Carroll, age 90, of Jellico died May 2 at the Jellico Community Hospital. She was born July 7, 1913 at Jellico, the daughter of the late Matt and Margaret Bowling Carroll. Survivors include her nieces, Bonnie Bowling, Williamsburg, KY, Cora Bowling, Corbin, KY, Sally Faye Bowling, Oak Ridge; nephews, Kenneth Trammell, Tazewell, Jack Trammell and James Trammell, both of Jellico. Graveside funeral services were May 5 at Douglas Cemetery with Kevin Doe officiating. Cox and Son Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Linda B. Carroll, age 66, of LaFollette died May 1 at Beechtree Manor Nursing Home. She was of the Baptist faith. Survivors include her husband, Fred H. Carroll, LaFollette; sons, Curtis Smith and wife, Jennifer, LaFollette, Jimmy Lee Smith and wife, Michelle, LaFollette, Billy Smith, Kentucky; daughter, Rosie Diane Smith, Kentucky; grandchildren, Jimmy William Smith, Tyler James Smith, Jacob Smith, Megan Elizabeth Smith and Miranda Leonard; sister, Annie Lay, Washington; special friend, Roberta Branam, LaFollette. Funeral services were May 4 at the Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Interment was in the Peabody Cemetery. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Katie Chapman, age 69 of Jacksboro died April 26 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. She was of the Baptist Faith. She loved animals especially her special companion, Hattie. Preceded in death by her parents, Erby and Bertha Elkins Hatmaker. Survivors include her special cousin, Juanita Paul of Pioneer; several more cousins, relatives and friends. At her request her body was donated to science. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Ada McHome Clawson, age 84, of Crossville, formerly of Speedwell died May 3 at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville. She was a member of the New Salem Baptist Church in Speedwell. Preceded in death by her husband, James Clawson; parents, Charlie and Margaret Stanfield McHome. Survivors include her son, Jim Clawson, Crossville and grandson, Lucas Clawson, Tazewell. Graveside services were May 5 at Clawson Cemetery with Elder J.C. Monday officiating. Cross Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. George Jerry Douglas, age 66, of LaVergne, formerly of Jellico died April 29 at his home. He was retired from General Motors. Survivors include his wife, Reatha Pierce Douglas; daughter, Lisa Douglas, both of LaVergne; son, Tim Douglas, Liberty; sisters, Eva Godsey, Sevierville, Louise Madesking, Mi; brothers, Terry Douglas, Kyle Douglas, both of Jellico; Charles Douglas, Dayton, Oh; grandchildren, Crystal Douglas, Jeremy Douglas, Jacob Douglas, Jeremy Chockley, Ashley Chockley and Wesley Chockley. Funeral services were May 4 at the Llewellyn Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerome Walden officiating. Interment was in the Huddleston Cemetery. Llewellyn Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Beulah Farmer, age 88 of Jacksboro passed away Monday, May 3, 2004 at the St. Mary's Medical Health and Rehab Center of Campbell County. She was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved gospel music and singing for her Lord. Preceded in death by her husband, Bryan Farmer; son, Robie Farmer; parents, Carson and Katie Burton Foust; brothers, Hubert, Earl, Bernard, Edgar, and Hollis Foust; sister, Willie Carden. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Charles and Linda Farmer, Virgil and Vickie Farmer, James and Dolly Farmer; daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Clarence Daugherty; Bertha Mae and James Cooper all of Jacksboro; 16 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren , one great great grandchild; brothers, Theodore Foust of Lake City; Vernie Lee (Pete) Foust of Madisonville; sisters, Helen Wilson of OH, Betty Chittum of Spring City, Gladys Cox of Medford; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services were May 5 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Asbury, Rev. Bobby Ray Wilson, and Rev. J.T. Asbury officiating. Hyde, of LaFollette died May 2 at his home where he had lived for the past five years. He was a retired Farmer & a Veteran of World War II having served in the US Army. Preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd & Florence Burgess Hyde. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Hyde, of LaFollette; sons and daughters in laws, Stanley L. and Mary Hyde, Clifford Lynn Hyde, Ken and Carolyn Humphrey, Larry Richard; daughters and sons in laws, Connie and Pete Hawkins, Beverly and Gordon Fuller; Judy and Clyde Allen, Karen and Dick Beebe; daughter, Katherine Tyler; seven grandchildren and great grandchildren. He will be shipped to Bath N.Y. where services will be held. Geneva Violet Owens, age 77 of Elk Valley died April 30 at her home. She was a member of Stanfield United Baptist Church. She retired from Eastman of Kingsport after nearly 40 years. Preceded in death by her father, George Sherman Owens, mother, Nellie Mae Smith Owens; brother, Barton Warren Owens; sister, Geraldine Heatherly; half-sister, Virgie Baird. Survivors include her sisters, Hattie Owens, Elk Valley, June Perkins, Elk Valley, Mary Ware and husband, Robert, Pompano Beach, Fl, Sue Collins, Elk Valley, Juanita Owens, Belleville, Mi; half-sisters, Lottie Belt, Clinton, Lola Monroe, New Tazewell, Viola Smith, Sevierville; several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services were May 3 at the Stanfield United Baptist Church with Rev. Ronnie Thomas officiating. Interment was in the Warren Memorial Garden. Harp Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Greene "Bob" Partin Jr., age 68 of LaFollette died April 28 at the St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and a great brother-in-law who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.Preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Partin; parents, Greene Sr. and Rosie Palmer Partin; brothers, Johnny and Willie Partin. Survivors include his wife, Maudie Partin; sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Cathy Partin all of LaFollette, Rick and Teresa Partin of Loudon; daughter and son-in-law, Jane Byrd and Tim Hubbard, daughter, Tiffany Hartter all of LaFollette; six granddaughters, one grandson, three great granddaughters, and two great grandsons; brothers, Tommy Partin of Speedwell, Charles Partin of Duff; sister, Wilma Shears of LaFollette; best friend, Johnny Franklin of LaFollette; special sister-in-law, Alma Baird of Jacksboro; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. She was a charter member of Victory Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, and gardening and loved her family and community very much. She was the last survivor of a family of 12. Preceded in death by her husband, James Harvey Sharp; parents, William and Nancy Riggs Parker; brother, Hugh Parker; sisters, Martha Jones and Pernie Goins; half-sisters, Cora Goins ,Onia Irwin and Florence Parker; half-brothers, John, McKinely, William Parker and Johnny and Tom Ed McNeeley. Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law: Noble and Dorthy Sharp of LaFollette, Robert and Ann Sharp of Sidney, OH; daughters: Opal Stittums of Sidney, OH, Emma Jean Woodson of LaFollette; a host of grandchildren, great and great great and great great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. Funeral Services were May 3 in the Chapel of Martin Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. J.L. Shoun and Rev. Lee Kidwell, and Rev. Danny King officiating. Interment was in Victory Cemetery. Martin Wilson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Raymond Ernest "Wink" Sharp age 79 of LaFollette died April 28, at St. Mary's Medical Center of Campbell County. He attended Friendship Community Church of God. Preceded in death by his parents, Robert Samuel Sharp and Linda Rookard Sharp; infant sister, Lassie Emily Sharp. Survivors include his sisters, Opal Baird of Maryville; brothers, Rev. Joe Sharp and wife, Mae of Cleveland, John Luke Sharp and wife, Lorene of LaFollette; special dear friend, Charlsie Wilson of LaFollette; several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Funeral services were April 31 at Walters Chapel with Rev. Andrew Ayers and Rev. Essie Ayers officiating. Interment was in Davis Cemetery. Walters Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements. Mary Magdaline Tackett, age 90 of Lake City died April 29 at the Lake City Health Care Center. She was born February 9, 1914 in Harlan, Kentucky to the late Abe and Martha Wilson. She was a member of the Main Street Baptist Church in Lake City. She retired from the Y-12 plant in Oak Ridge in 1975. She enjoyed cooking for her family, gardening, camping and spending time with her friends and family. Preceded in death by her parents, Abe and Martha Wilson; husband, Bill Tackett; daughter, Ruth Massengill. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Rubye and John Harmon, Lake City; son and daughter-in-law, Joe and Paula Tackett, Clinton; son, John Tackett, California; 15 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 13 great great grandchildren. Funeral services were May 1 at the Hatmaker Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Phillips officiating. Interment was in the Woodhaven Memorial Gardens.
