From The Knoxville News Sentinel 11 May 2004 JOHNSON, MR. DAVID WAYNE age 64, of LaFollette, JOHNSON, MR. DAVID WAYNE age 64, of LaFollette, passed away Sunday, May 9, 2004, at his home. He was a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a member of the D.A.V., a Christian, and was of the Church of God faith. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Ralph and Lula Johnson and stepmother, Virginia (Jennie) Johnson. Survivors: sisters, Imogene Brinkley of Omaha, NE, Maburn Noe and husband, James Raymond of LaFollette, and June Duncan of Middlesboro, KY; brothers, Thomas Ed Johnson of Biloxi, MS, and Glen Johnson of California; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services Tuesday 8 p.m. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Steve Bruce officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Wednesday 11 a.m. at Green Hill Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY with military honors. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday before services at Walters Funeral Home.
