"TEACH" - age 65 of LaFollette ROSENVINGE, JULIA MAE (JUDY) - age 69, of Oak Ridge KESSELL, DANIEL R. - age 77 of Oliver Springs passed away Friday May 7, 2004 at the Baptist West Hospital in Knoxville. Services will be held Tuesday May 11, 2004 at the Solway Baptist Church with the Bro. Ray Buchanan officiating interment will follow at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Monday May 10, 2004 from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home 1017 Oak Ridge Turnpike. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. PETREY, MR. ROBERT F. "TEACH" - age 65 of LaFollette passed away Wednesday, May 5, 2004, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a retired Teacher with 36 years of service in the Campbell County School System, an avid golfer, and attended the Middlesboro Highway Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, James F. Petrey. Survivors: Wife, Mrs. Elva Walden Petrey, of LaFollette. Daughter, Jill Verna Petrey, Son, Kevin Petrey and wife, Brandee all of Richmond, KY. Mother, Jeanette Petrey of Jellico. Several other relatives and friends. Funeral services Saturday 8 P.M. at Walters Chapel with Rev. Timothy Gann, Rev. James Leach and Rev. Bobby Walden officiating. Graveside services and interment will be Sunday 10 A.M. at Powell Valley Cemetery and Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers: Bob Fannon, Bill Cox, Marvin Minton, Mike Rogers, Warren Heatherly, Wayne Kitts, Bill Leach, J. L. Stittums, Elwood Bailey, Greg Mattie, Jimmy Goins, Gary Rogers, Bobby Heatherly, Cliff Jennings, and Dewey Hatfield. Honorary Pallbearers: Ed Balloff, Carl "Dope" Prater, Jim Agee and D. L. Hutson. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. Saturday before services at Walters Funeral Home. Walters Funeral Home of LaFollette is honored to serving the family of Mr. Robert F. "Teach" Petrey. ROSENVINGE, JULIA MAE (JUDY) - age 69, of Oak Ridge passed away Friday May 7, 2004 at her residence. She was born in Crammerton, North Carolina on December 20, 1934 the daughter of Eunice Mae Allison Wilson and William Alfred Wilson. She lived with her grandparents Mattie Junkine Allison and Guy C. Allison in Anderson, South Carolina until her mothers remarriage to Roger Louis Myers. While her step- father was in the U.S. Coast Guard she lived in West Palm Beach, Florida and New Orleans, Louisiana. She attended high school in Queens, New York and Harrington Park, New Jersey. She met and married her husband Rolf C. Rosenvinge while she was working in Manhattan and her was stationed at the Third Naval District Headquarters. They were married on November 28, 1957 at the Church of the Transfiguration, the "Little Church around the Corner" in Manhattan. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Rolf; daughters: Karin Ann Rosenvinge and her husband Richard Taeuber of Knoxville; Susan Lee and husband Gary Ahlberg of Willimington, North Carolina and a son Rolf Eric Rosenvinge of Chattanooga, TN. granddaughters; Anna Burns, Hannah Rosenvinge, and Jensen and Carmen Ahlberg. She is also survived by a half- brother and sister Roger A. Myers and Yvette Myers both of West Palm Beach County Florida. Judy was an active parent leader in the school PTA, the Cub Scouts and Camp Fire Girls. She also served as president of the Lutheran Church Women at Grace Lutheran and president of the Pink Ladies Volunteers at Methodist Medical Center. In recent years she enjoyed traveling and playing duplicated bridge. She especially treasured the many kind friends she met at the bridge table and who lent their support throughout her recent illness. She was most appreciative of her doctors, Ronald Lands and Kenneth Strike and their assistants and the team at Covenant Home Care hospice program. In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to American Cancer Society 871 Weisgarber Rd. Knoxville, TN 37909. Julia's remains will be cremated and her ashes scattered in accordance with her wishes.
