From The Knoxville News Sentinel 4 May 2004 HALL, JAMES EDWARD - age 82, of Oak Ridge, HALL, JAMES EDWARD - age 82, of Oak Ridge, died Sunday, May 2, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville. Originally from Evansville, IN, he was a Veteran of WWII serving in the US Army Air Force in the U.S. and Europe. He retired in 1987 as Plant Superintendent with Rust Engineering and was previously a Construction Superintendent with H. D. Ferguson. He enjoyed sharing his retirement years with Daphne, his beloved wife of 57 years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by: his four children, Jim Hall Jr. and wife Janis of Cherry Hill, NJ; John Hall and wife Kristy of Knoxville; Virginia Wyatt and husband Read of Atlanta, GA; and Joe Hall and wife Tammy of Pleasonton, CA. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, Aaron, Andrew, Allyson, Cayla and Pamela. He is also survived by: sisters, Jessie Humphrey and husband Bob of Evansville, IN; Mary Beller and husband Jim of Owensboro, KY, and his sister-in-law, Doreen Saltis of Copley, OH, plus many nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks and fond farewell to Jim's buddies in the Willow Creek Golf Club "Retreads" who helped him enjoy his final years of golfing. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to St. Mary's Residential Hospice, 7447 Andersonville Pike, Knoxville, TN 37938, or the American Lung Association of TN, 212 S. Peters Rd., Knoxville, TN 37923. A graveside service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at 1:00pm at Oak Ridge Memorial Park.
