    3. Crossville Chronicle obit... James L. Schubert March 3, 1905 - Jan. 19, 2004 James Leonard Schubert, 98, of Crossville, passed away Jan. 19, 2004. Funeral services were conducted Jan. 22 from the chapel of Crossville Memorial Funeral Home, with burial in Green Acres Memory Gardens Jan. 23. Harold Qualls II and John Schubert III officiated. Mr. Schubert was born March 3, 1905 in Roane County, the son of John and Alice Schubert. He was a retired farmer and a member of Plateau Mission Baptist. Survivors include his sons, Johnny Schubert, Bob Schubert, Kenneth Schubert, Jack Schubert, Jerry Schubert, Joe Schubert and Melvin Schubert; daughters, Willie Clyde Davis and Betsy Davis; 40 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 29 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Albert Schubert; and sisters, Nancy Quillen and Nannie Gang. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Hazel Schubert; son, James Schubert; daughters, Margaret Alice Pelfrey and Robbie Lucille Schubert. Pallbearers were his sons, Bobby Schubert, Kenneth Schubert, Melvin Schubert, Jackie Schubert, Johnny Schubert, Joey Schubert and Jerry Schubert. Honorary pallbearers were his grandsons and great-grandsons. Crossville Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc. was in charge of the arrangements.
