    2. >From The Knoxville News Sentinel 3 Jan 2004 FROST, PAUL LEONARD, JR. - age 49, of Clinton KISER, TILFORD LEONARD - 86, of Oak Ridge, KOTESKI, RAYMOND ALBERT (RAY) - age 81, of Powell, ========================================= FROST, PAUL LEONARD, JR. - age 49, of Clinton passed away Thursday January 1, 2004. Mr. Frost was of the Baptist faith. Born November 21, 1954 in Knoxville to the late Paul Leonard Frost, Sr. And Pauline Stadifer Frost by who is survived. He was a welder with BNFL, Inc., and a member of the Plumbers and Steam Fitters local 102 in Knoxville. He served in the US Navy for 4 yrs. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and ridding motorcycles. He was very active in the Anderson County Toy Run, Inc. He is preceded in death by his father and a sister Lois Bridges. He is survived by his wife Janice Chesney Frost; a daughter Amber Frost; sisters Catherine Cooper and husband James, Shirley Smith and husband Clifton, and Teresa Cook and husband Steve; one brother, Eddie Frost; sister-in-law Sandra Chesney and by his former wife Debra Frost; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be Sunday at 4PM in the chapel of Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Shelton of Gateway Church of God officiating. In lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to the Anderson County Toy Run, Inc. 201 N. Slope Ln. Clinton, TN 37716. The family will receive friends from 2-4 Sunday at the funeral home. Martin Oak Ridge Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements KISER, TILFORD LEONARD - 86, of Oak Ridge, died Wednesday, December 31, 2003 at Briarcliff Health Care Center in Oak Ridge. Mr. Kiser was born February 20, 1917 in Silmer, Tennessee to Will and Dora Leonard Kiser. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church and was retired from City of Oak Ridge, where he served as Superintendent of City Garage. Mr. Kiser was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Kiser in 2001, two daughters, Norma Jean Leach and Carolyn Hanley, a granddaughter, Donna Bingham, and three brothers and one sister. Mr. Kiser is survived by one son Buddy Kiser and wife, Billie of Madisonville; two sons-in-law, Larry Leach of Kingston And Don Hanley of Oak Ridge; four grandchildren, Marilyn Kiser, Cheryl Kiser, Debora Newman and Tony Leach; four great-grandchildren, Nathan Bingham, Bradlee Royster, Cory Newman and Joshua Leach; one step-granddaughter, Deb Raper and husband David; step great-granchildren, Justin and Jordy Raper and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held Saturday, January 3, 2004 at 8:00 PM at Weatherford Mortuary with Dr. Steve McDonald officiating. A graveside service will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2004 at 2:00 PM at Anderson Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Saturday at the mortuary from 6:00-8:00 PM. Weatherford Mortuary is handling arrangements. KOTESKI, RAYMOND ALBERT (RAY) - age 81, of Powell, died Thursday January 1, 2004 at St. Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Holy Ghost Catholic Church. Retired April 1984, after 39 years service in various departments of the Operations Division at the Union Carbide K-25 plant in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Ray was born May 2, 1922 as the youngest of eight children in Allegheney County, Natrona, PA. At age 14, he was honored with the American Legion Plaque based on scholastic and athletic achievements in his elementary school years. At age 18, he was captain of the basketball team at Har-Brach High School and received the Section I trophy as most valuable player. Ray was honored with an athletic scholarship playing basketball for the "Demon Deacons" of Wake Forest University, NC (WFC 1940- 1943). He graduated with a degree in chemistry and was a member of the Gamma Sigma Epsilon Honorary Fraternity and the 1942/43 Monogram Club. Ray fell deeply in love with and married his southern belle creating 58 years of devotion and a blessing of "four queens" - Frances, Mary, Charlotte Ann, and Cathy. He was a member of the Sequoyah Duplicate Bridge Club and the ACBL. Ray's civic activities included youth work, coaching, and church involvement. Acknowledgement is made to a special friend, Dick Beaver, whom co-chaired the annual fall festival and helped coach the basketball teams at St. Joseph Elementary School. Preceded in death in 2001 by wife of 58 years, Charlotte Holden Koteski. Survivors: daughters and sons in law, Frances and Jim McGaha, Seabrook, Texas, Mary St. John, Charlotte Ann and Richard Higginbotham Jr., of Knoxville, Cathy and Bob Mikkola, North Grafton, Mass.; grandchildren; Christy McGaha, Chris St. John and wife Shelley, Kim Skeen and husband Rick, Tobie Funte, Sandy St. John, Allen Higginbotham and wife Kim, Ray Higginbotham, Matthew Higginbotham, Ashley Mikkola, Meredith Mikkola; three great grandsons, Parker and Casey St. John and Clay Skeen. A host of nieces and nephews. Funeral Mass 10:00a.m. Monday Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Father Xavier Mankel officiating, with interment following at Highland Memorial Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family request Memorials may be made to: Holy Ghost Catholic Church, Post Office Box 3936, Knoxville, Tennessee 37928 or any preferred charity.
