    2. >From The Knoxville News Sentinel 25 Jan 2004 HEYDEL, BECKA RUSSELL - age 70, of Oliver Springs, KING, CHANDLER PAUL - of Powell LLOYD, INA MARIE - age 97 of Wartburg, OWNBY, VAUGHN WALTER - age 75, of Clinton, WHITE, AUDREY PATTERSON - age 83, of Oak Ridge , formerly of Oliver Springs, \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ HEYDEL, BECKA RUSSELL - age 70, a resident of Oliver Springs, passed away Saturday, January 24, 2004 at her home. Mrs. Heydel was preceded in death by her parents, John William Russell and Ollie Jarnighan Russell; and by five brothers, John William "Junior" Russell, Jr., Kenneth Russell, Willis Russell, Linnis Russell and Lewis Russell. Mrs. Heydel was born April 29, 1933 in Coalfield. She was a lifelong resident of East Tennessee. She was a homemaker and a member of Beech Park Baptist Church. Survivors: husband, Kenneth L. "Bones" Heydel of Oliver Springs; daughters, Victoria Moncier and husband, David of Oliver Springs, Lisa Jones of Weston, Fla.; sons, Stephen Heydel of Knoxville, Russell Heydel and wife, Tosha of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Eric Moncier of Oliver Springs, Jessie Jones of Weston, Fla.; brother, R.B. Russell of Oliver Springs; sisters, Arvana Helton and husband, Bobby of Coalfield, Betsy McGhee and husband, Eugene of Oliver Springs, Lois "Tiny" Foster of Oak Ridge, Elizabeth "Shorty" Baker and husband, Joe of Coalfield, Steve Lane Russell of Oak Ridge; special friend, Cathy Hilton of Oak Ridge. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to Beech Park Baptist Church, 606 Butler Mill Road, Oliver Springs, Tenn. 37840. Funeral services will be held January 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Estes Cemetery of Coalfield. Sharp Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. KING, CHANDLER PAUL - of Powell passed away Friday, January 23, 2004 (two days shy of his 91st birthday) at Windwood Health Care Center. As a boy he attended Black Oak Baptist Church & was a member there. After moving to Clinton he attended churches in Clinton & for the past 60 years he attended Moore's Gap United Methodist Church. As a young man he worked at Magnet Mills in Clinton & then in Norfolk Navy Yard until he was called to serve in World War II where he was aboard the L.S.T. 544. After being discharged from the Navy he worked for the East Tennessee Oil Company until he & his brother-in-law, Elba Jeffers bought a service station in the Claxton area. He owned & operated a Gulf Station in Oak Ridge for 25 years until he retired. Preceded in death by parents, Charles L. & Rosa Katherine Shinlever King; 4 sisters & 6 brothers. Survivors: wife of 60 years, Maude Brooks King of Powell; daughter; Margaret Burroughs & husband Harry D. of Chattanooga; grandson, Eric Foster Burroughs of Knoxville; granddaughters, Shannon Marie Burroughs of Knoxville, Chelsea Elyce Burroughs of Chattanooga; sisters-in-law,Grace & husband Obern Walker of Clinton, Betty & husband Bobby Mosteller of Chatsworth, GA, Virginia B. Crow of Clinton; brother-in-law, J. Will Brooks of Clinton; several nieces & nephews and a host of friends. The family will receive friends 5:30-7:30 PM, Sunday, January 24, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Lee Cate & Rev. LLOYD, INA MARIE - age 97 of Wartburg, went home to be with the Lord on Friday evening, January 23, 2004 in Knoxville, TN. She was a devoted charter member of Calvary Baptist Church in Wartburg. She was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, James Shafter Lloyd; Two daughters, Wanda and Deola; Son, Cleophus Lloyd. She is survived by two daughters, Reva Loy and Elva Roach, both of Knoxville; Daughter-in-law, Jean Lloyd of Mossy Grove; Grandchildren, Debbie McCoy and husband, Jerry, Karen Bible and husband, Jim, Teresa Trail and husband, Ronnie, Don Loy, James B. Loy, Pam White and husband, Paul; Great- grandchildren, Eli Loy, Sierra and Sarah White, Cody and Gina Marie Trail, Shasta McCoy, and James Bible; Sister, Juanita Chambers and husband Clifton; Two sisters-in-law, Artie Sharp and Rose Sharp; And a host of nieces, nephews and friends. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 25, 2004 from 5-7 pm at Schubert Funeral Home in Wartburg. The funeral service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2004 at 2 pm in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Benji Blakney officiating. Interment will follow in Morgan Memorial Gardens. OWNBY, VAUGHN WALTER - age 75, of Clinton, died Friday, January 23, 2004 at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was born March 5, 1928 in Jefferson County, TN, the son of Willard and Iva Davis Ownby, who are both deceased. He is a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the US Army. Mr. Ownby retired in 1985 from ORNL, where he was a carpenter. He is a member of Robertsville Baptist Church, the Alpha Masonic Lodge #376 in Clinton, Knoxville Scottish Rite and Kerbela Temple in Knoxville. Mr. Ownby was an avid gardener, woodworker, knife and stamp collector and fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, David Vaughn Ownby in 1969 and a half- brother, Doyle Ownby of Sevierville in 2003. Mr. Ownby is survived by: wife of 22 years, Collene Prewett Ownby; son, C. Steven Ownby and wife Margie and daughter, Karen Barry and husband Charles, all of Clinton; step-mother, Ivalee Ownby of Sevierville; sisters, Ruby Peace and husband Carl of Clinton and Alta Smith of Stargate, FL; half-sister, Mabel Ellis of Sevierville; half-brothers, Jack Ownby and wife Sue, Raymond Ownby and wife Louise and Ronnie Ownby, all of Sevierville; grandchildren, Shannon Watkins and husband Nathan of Apopka, FL, David Ownby and Carisa Ownby of Clinton and numerous nieces and nephews who were very special to him. A Masonic Service will be held on Monday, January 26, 2004 at 8:00pm, led by members of Alpha Lodge #376. The funeral service will follow at 8:15pm with Rev. Michael Prince officiating. Graveside services are Tuesday at 10:00am at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to Robertsville Baptist Church food ministry, Tabitha's Table, 251 Robertsville Road, Oak Ridge, TN 37830 or the Shriner's Crippled Children's Hospital, 1900 Richmond Rd., Lexington, KY 40502. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 - 8:00pm at Weatherford Mortuary. WHITE, AUDREY PATTERSON - age 83, a resident of Oak Ridge and formerly of Oliver Springs, passed away Friday, January 23, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. Mrs. White was preceded in death by her parents William O. Patterson and Ethel Hilton Patterson; and by two sisters, Mildred and Lavancha Patterson. Mrs. White was born December 27, 1920 in Anderson County. She was a lifelong resident of East Tennessee. After retiring from the Harriman Hosiery Mill she was employed at the Oak Ridger. Survivors: daughter, Audrey "Cookie" Murphy of Oliver Springs; sons, Allen White and wife, Sue of Oliver Springs, Freddy White and wife, Genie of Little Rock, Ark.; 6 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; sister, Wanda "Madge" Coker of Oliver Springs. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials be made to the Mt. Pisgah Bible Print Ministry, P.O. Box 341 Oliver Springs, Tenn. 37840. Graveside services will be held Monday, January 26, 2004 at 11 a.m. at Anderson Memorial Gardens with Pastor Garvan Walls and pastor Steve McDonald officiating.
