>From The Knoxville News Sentinel 5 Jan 2004 LEWIS, GUEN "MOM-MOM" - age 87 Clinton, TN, RUSSELL, CECIL EDWARD "EDDIE" - 51, of Oak Ridge, ========================================= LEWIS, GUEN "MOM-MOM" - age 87 Clinton, TN, passed away Saturday, January 3, 2004, at Mariner Health Care Center of Norris, TN. Preceded in death by her husband, Harold "Hap" F. Lewis and her parents, Kelly M. and Minnie L. Goins. After graduating from Clinton High School and attending Business College, she owned and operated a hair salon in Clinton. Mrs. Lewis worked at the French Room for Millers Dept. Store in Knoxville, was a bridal consultant for Loveman's in Oak Ridge, and retired from the Ladies Toggery in Clinton where she prepared window displays and coordinated fashion shows. Mrs. Lewis was a member of First Baptist Church in Clinton and in earlier years enjoyed working with GA'S and Sunday School Classes. In addition, she was past president of the Clinton Business and Professional Women's Club. Being the family care giver, Mrs. Lewis took pride in her loved ones and helped her parents and husband through long illnesses. Her devotion to her family sparked her interest in genealogy which lead to the research of eleven lineages of her family back to the early 1600's. Mrs. Lewis is survived by daughter, Minnie Jane and her husband Mounir N. AbdulRahman of Clinton, TN; grandsons, Nabil, Naef, Khalid, and Hassan AbdulRahman all of Clinton, TN.; sister, Lorene G. Holt of Clinton, TN.; nephew, David G. Holt of Clinton, TN.; several nieces and nephews all of West, TN. Family will receive friends 6 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 8:00 p.m. with Rev. Sam Dean officiating. Interment will be Wednesday, January 7, 2004, at 3:00 p.m. at Leach Cemetery in Lake City, TN. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church in Clinton, TN. for their Youth Ministry. RUSSELL, CECIL EDWARD "EDDIE" - 51, of Oak Ridge, died Saturday, January 3, 2004 at St. Mary's Residential Hospice in Knoxville of cancer. Served with the US Navy. Medical Laboratory Technician at the Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge and member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survived by: wife of 28 years, Nancy Russell; daughter, Elizabeth Russell; father, James E. Russell of Jefferson City; mother, Nellie Miles Russell of Rockwood; sister, Kim Murphy and her husband, Emery; nephew, Jason Morgan; and niece, Sarah Murphy, all of Alpharetta, GA.; brothers-in-law, Robert Jenkins of Oak Ridge and Leroy Jenkins and his wife Clara of Greeneville; nephew, David Jenkins and family of Smyrna, TN; and several aunts, uncles and cousins in Rockwood. Fred and Shirley Williams, of Powell, were special friends. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 6, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. at Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Steve McDonald and Rev. Charles Kelly officiating. Graveside services are Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oak Ridge Memorial Park. The family asks that any memorials be in the form of contributions to the Missions Fund of Calvary Baptist Church, 163 N. Jefferson Circle, Oak Ridge, TN 37830.
