He was an avid church member. He enjoyed working with children as he was a retired head start volunteer worker. He also enjoyed fishing and gardening. He was a member of Victory Bible Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a lifelong member of the DAV, Chapter 26 and the Odd Fellows Lodge, Chapter 54. He was born on June 21, 1922. He was preceded in death by his parents: Dewey Daugherty, Sr. and Josephine Daugherty Worley, a brother Dewey Daugherty, Jr., a daughter, Brenda Greene, one Grandson and one great-grandson. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Ola Mae Daugherty; Son, Warren Jack Daugherty of Wartburg; Two daughters, Sharon Daugherty of Wartburg and Gail Gill and husband, Darrell of Lafayette, Indiana; Three step-daughters, Carolyn Elmore and husband, Brad of Wayne, Michigan Janice Lyles and husband, Rick of Coalfield and Loraine Brown and husband, Garry of Olive Springs; 21 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
