He was a member of 1st Baptist Church in Clinton. William was a 32nd Degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite Temple & I.B.E.W. Preceded in death by: parents, William Albert Bowling Sr. & Carolyn Sowers Bowling; sister, Jane Bowling Miller and her husband Harry F. Miller. Survivors: wife of 64 years, Helen (Dossett) Bowling of Clinton; daughters, Carolyn B. Wilson of Rockwood, Billie Sue Hammer & husband Jeff of Clinton; grandchildren, Susan & husband Aaron Ficken of Rockwood, Charley Wilson of Asheville, N.C., Will Hammer of Andersonville, Clay Hammer of Andersonville; cousin, Jane Louise Beck Venable & husband Bruce of Cincinnati, OH; niece, Mary Jane Miller of Oak Ridge; nephew, Harry "Herky" F. Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton in charge of all arrangements. FARMER, JOE WAYNE - age 73, of Clinton, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Methodist Medical Center. He was President of the Clinch Valley Shrine Club, President of his senior class at Clinton High School in 1952. Joe was a member of the Clinton Alpha Lodge #376 F&AM, 32nd Degree Mason & Tennessee Sportsman Association. He was a member of Clinton Second Baptist Church. He retired from Rexnord as a machine maintenance supervisor for 23 years. Preceded in death by: parents, Wayne & Eva Denny Farmer, sister, Wilma Farmer. Mr. Farmer was born January 27, 1931 in Anderson County. Survivors: wife, Eloise Ann Farmer of Clinton; son, Douglas Kyle Farmer of Oak Ridge; sister, Katie Farmer of Clinton; brother, Howard Farmer of Clinton; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 pm, Wednesday, March 10, 2004 at Holley- Gamble Funeral Home with Masonic Services. Following the Masonic Service, Rev. Mike Thompson & Rev. HEBERT, WAULDINE JENNINGS - 85, died at her home Wednesday evening, March 3, 2004 after nearly a four month illness. Born April 27, 1918 in Hermitage, Tenn. to the late John and Della Logue Jennings. She graduated from Donaldson High School and attended Peabody College in Nashville and the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She moved to Oak Ridge in 1946 and worked for the Atomic Energy Commission as a materials accountability clerk until 1953. She married Gordon McCook Hebert, September 3, 1949 at the First Baptist Church of Donalson and they lived in Oak Ridge until 1950, when they moved to a small farm in Solway and started a family. She was a charter member of the Fairview Baptist Church in Solway for 17 years and then a member of First Baptist Church, Oak Ridge from 1978 to present. She was a founding worker at the First Baptist Church Agape Benevolence Center. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Hebert Smith and grandsons, Spencer and Wesley Smith; daughter, Eleanor Hebert Wyatt and grandson, Nathaniel Wyatt and son, Joel J. Hebert. Also surviving are two sisters, Margaret Liddle and Thurman Harris; and brother, Paul Douglas Jennings. Previously deceased are husband, Gordon M. Hebert and daughter, Debbie Jennings Hebert. Services will be held Saturday, March 6, at the First Baptist Church Oak Ridge, Dr. Raymond Lloyd Pastor presiding. Receiving of friends will start at 1 p.m. with a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. and interment at Oak Ridge Memorial Park immediately after. HUTSON, JOSEPH LEE - of Deer Lodge, passed away on Saturday, March 6, 2004 at the U.T. Medical Center after a car accident. He was 16 and a Junior at Sunbright School. He was preceded in death by: his brother, Mikey in 2001; and his grandfather, David Summer, also in 2001. Joe is survived by: his mother, Susie H. Strand; father, Charles Hutson; sister, Kristy Hutson; and brother, Charles Hutson, II. He is also survived by: his grandmother, Inez Summers; step-father, Conrad Strand; and a very special cousin, Ginger Acardi; Joe leaves many close friends at school and in the community. Other survivors include: a special teacher, Dana Matlock at SHS; his lifelong friend, Cody Jones, and many, many other family members and friends. Services for Joe will be held on Tuesday, March 9, 2004 at Schubert Funeral Home in Sunbright. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm with the Funeral beginning at 8 pm with Rev. Billy Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Sunbright Cemetery at 11 am on Wednesday KECK, NANCY LOUISE - age 62, of Powell, passed away Sunday, March 7, 2004 at her residence. She owned & operated Nancy's Kids Child Care Center. Preceded in death by: parents, Charles Alonzo & Margaret Mae Hammack Lawson; brothers, Lonnie & Wendall Lawson; daughter, Cindy Jody. Born May 26, 1941 in Clinton, Tennessee. Survivors: son, David L. Jody & wife Marie of Clinton; daughter, Melinda D. He was born April 11, 1954 in Lake Charles, LA. He graduated from Oak Ridge High School and Roane State Community College and attended the University of Tennessee. Mr. O'Bleness retired from the US Army and was a Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He was a commercial fisherman and also worked in painting and construction. He was preceded in death by: his grandparents, Charles and Kate Lynch and Oscar E. O'Bleness. He is survived by: his wife, Diane Traver O'Bleness; step- daughters, Ashley, a student at U. T. and Hailey, a student at Webb School; mother and step-father, Martha A. and Russell Tucker of Alcoa; father and stepmother, Gene E. and Marilyn O'Bleness of Oak Ridge; brother, James Michael O'Bleness and wife Tammy and their daughter Lexie of Park Hall, MD; sister, Nancy O. Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville. He was a devoted member of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Oak Ridge where he was also a member of St. Mary's "Solo's" single group. He is survived: cousins, Thomas Flynn, who lived with Gus's family during the 50's and attended St. Mary's School, his wife, Pat of Fabiuf, NY and their children, Tom, Corinne, Theresa and Kevin, Robert Flynn of California. The family would like to extend their gratitude to Father Michael Woods of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Oak Ridge, the doctors and nurses of Fort Sander's Regional Medical Center of Knoxville, NICU, for their efforts to save his life and the love they gave. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, 10:30 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Michael Woods officiating. His body was cremated.
