>From The Oak Ridger 19 Mar 2004 Pauline Jones Ford, 79, of Oliver Springs, James Edgar Ward Sr., 65, of Clinton, Pauline Jones Ford, 79, of Oliver Springs, died Friday, March 19, 2004, at her home. Born Aug. 20, 1924, she was the daughter of Milton Robert Jones Sr. and Anna Maud Black Jones. She was a life long resident of Oliver Springs and a member of First Baptist Church, where she was active in the Vota-Vita Ladies Sunday School Class. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Jones and Milton "Junior" Jones Jr. Her family said she was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and enjoyed traveling. Mrs. Ford is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dean Ford; three children, Linda Chadwick and husband, Wally, of Oliver Springs, Nancy Cook and husband, Ken, of Oak Ridge, and Ernie A. Ford and wife, Gina, of Harriman; and by eight grandchildren, Jennifer Grafton and husband, Van, of Smyrna, Shawna Kelly and husband, Eddie, of Lilburn, Ga., Ryan Cook, Erin Cook and Haylee Cook, all of Oak Ridge, Trish Little and husband, Justin, of Birmingham, Ala., and Adam Ford and Evan Ford, both of Harriman. She is also survived by two great-grandchildren, Chad Grafton and Emma Grafton, both of Smyrna; two brothers, Paul Jones and wife, Clara, and Robert E. Jones and wife, Madge, all of Oliver Springs; and by several extended family members and friends. The funeral will be at 4 p.m. Saturday, March 20, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Oliver Springs with the Rev. Todd Johnson and the Rev. Mark Umbehegan officiating. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Anderson Memorial Gardens , Oliver Springs Highway, Clinton. The family requests that any memorials be in the form of contributions to First Baptist Church Children's Ministry, 206 Roane St., Oliver Springs, TN 37840. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Saturday at the church. Sharp Funeral Home in Oliver Springs is in charge of arrangements. James Edgar Ward Sr., 65, of Clinton, died Wednesday, March 17, 2004, at Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge. He was a member of Clinch River Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Franklin Ward Sr. and Hazel Norman Ward; his wife, Mary Lena Ward; three brothers, Paul Ward, Arthur Ward and Claude Ward; and by a sister, Mary Ruth Carner. Mr. Ward is survived by two sons, James Ward Jr., of Knoxville, and Marvin Ward and wife, Karen, of California; his daughter, Hazel Ruth Garrison, of California; three sisters, Kathleen Ward, Hazel Scott and Grace Irene Miller, all of Greenville; three brothers, Earl Ward Jr. and wife, Virginia, and Bob Ward and wife, Mary Dale, all of Georgia, and the Rev. Don Ward and wife, Judy, of Clinton; his sister-in-law, June Ward, of Knoxville; and by several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. The funeral will be at 8 p.m. Friday, March 19, 2004, in the chapel of Holley-Gamble Funeral Home in Clinton with the Rev. Tom Byrge and the Rev. Don Ward officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 20, at Blowing Springs Cemetery in Clinton.
