She was born October 29, 1929 in Knoxville and later moved to Oliver Springs. She was a loving mother, grandmother & was of the Baptist faith. She was an avid bowler & enjoyed cooking for her family. She loved to crochet & work in her flowers. Dorothy was preceded in death by: her son, Robert L. Capps; daughters, Rebecca Capps & Teresa Capps Sweat; parents, Robert & Opal Fraker Hancock; sisters, Blanche Kimborogh & Zella Brown; brother, Cecil Hancock. Survivors: daughter, Sonya Murphy & husband, Leslie of Oliver Springs; grandchildren, Christopher Thomas Murphy, Leslie Murphy & wife, Amanda, Dottie Samantha Ann Sweat Preshong & husband, Steven Robert McCoy & James Capps, Cheryl Fisher; great granddaughter, Katie Preshong; special friend, Norma Neff of Knoxville; nieces, Jean Rose & husband, Frank, Joyce Ealy, Brenda Chamberlain & husband, Don.
