    2. >From The Knoxville News Sentinel 7 Mar 2006 CRUTCHFIELD, BEN TIPTON - age 85, of the Claxton Community, LOY, HATTIE COX - age 85, of Clinton \\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\\ CRUTCHFIELD, BEN TIPTON - age 85, of the Claxton Community, passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 at Park West Hospital. He was a member of Valley View United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army having served in World War II. He retired from T.V.A. as an Engineering Technician after 26 years. He was a amateur radio operator. And enjoyed gardening, bowling, traveling America, and watching the Vols. Preceded in death by parents, James A. & Martha Collinsworth Crutchfield, sister, Bea & husband Ed of Tazewell, brothers, James & wife Pansy (Williams) of Tazewell; Basil & wife Dorothy (Kincaid) of Monroe, MI; and Joe Neal Crutchfield of Tazewell. Survivors: wife of 59 years,Geneve (Cline) Crutchfield of Powell; daughters, Carolyn & husband Charles Peters of Monroe, Michigan, Sandra & husband Roy Runions of Clinton; son, Terry & wife Diane (Brooks) Crutchfield of Knoxville; grandchildren, Eric & wife Chris Peters of Streetsboro, Ohio, Andrea & Courtney Peters of Monroe, Michigan; great grandchildren, Jessica & Eli Peters; sister, Mary & husband Carl Rowland of Fredricksburg, Indiana; brother, William Y. & wife Floy (Love) Crutchfield of Houston, TX; sister-in-law, Hazel (Buchanan) Crutchfield of Tazewell; several nieces & nephews The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, March 8, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Pat Bishop officiating. The burial will be 11:00 AM, Tuesday at Greer Lambert Cemetery with full military honors at graveside. The family requests memorial gifts to Valley View United Methodist Church Building Fund, 815 Old Edgemoore Road, Clinton, Tennessee 37716. LOY, HATTIE COX - age 85, of Clinton passed away Friday, March 5, 2004 at Windwood Health Care Center. Hattie was a loving wife, mother & grandmother. She was a member of Deep Spring Baptist Church. Preceded in death by husband, Elwood Cox; parents, Matthew & Alice Stooksbury Melton; sisters, Mary Ruth Rhea & Edith Webb; brothers, Bob & Isaac Melton. Born July 7, 1918 in Anderson County. Survivors: daughters, Deane Bowles of Heiskell, Reva Sue Parrott of Heiskell; grandsons, Jeffrey G. Parrott of Lake City, Paul B. Parrott of Heiskell, Shane Bowles of Knoxville; sisters, Louise Webb of Clinton, Magdalene Wilson of Port Charlotte, FL; brothers, JT Melton of Clinton, Homer Melton of Louisville, KY; several nieces & nephews. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 PM, Sunday, March 7, 2004 at Holley-Gamble Funeral Home with funeral services following in the chapel with Rev. Robert Pettitt officiating. The interment will be 11:00 AM, Monday at Norris Memorial Garden.
