DOROTHY "DOT" age 55, Sugar Grove Valley Road, Harriman, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, March 16, 2004 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was of the Baptist faith and was a kind and loving wife, mother and friend. Preceded in death by: father, Carlie Armstrong. Survived by: husband, Jerry Atkins, Harriman, TN; daughter, Lisa Blake & husband, Gerald, Rockwood, TN; mother, Deloris Jean Armstrong, Harriman, TN; several sisters, brothers, nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held Thursday, March 18, 2004 at 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Evans Mortuary with Pastor Leland Frazier officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in the Calvary Hazelwood Cemetery, Kingston, TN. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Evans Mortuary. Evans Mortuary of Rockwood is serving the family of Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Atkins. Ellis and Gay Cox of Knoxville and Blanche Kingston of Virginia.
